Sundown, another Tisha B'av commemoration draws to a close. The streets of TA are alive again. Did laudry today and am making pasta, all for my Shaunie. Got an interesting response to my blog from someone named ahmed who wrote "nazis" to me. I hope my response to him gets posted. I mean, really come on now, how woefully pathetic is it that this guy goes thru travel blog search engines to impotently attack anyone having to do anything with Israel. What a waste of life, right? Meanwhile we are having such a great time together, Shauna and me. We rented some movies from blockbuster since today was not a beach day...you don't go swimming on Tisha B'av, and I always had a fear of drowning. Hope this publishes...the internet is giving me problems. I miss everyone, especially my prof, but I am having so much fun with Shaunie. Amsterdam was interesting for a day, but Israel is amazing. In Amsterdam I palled around with a guy I met on the train named Milton, he was very nice and it was fun to see all the acceptable weirdness of Amsterdam, it ain't Kansas. Landed in Tel Aviv at 2:30am, immediately going thru Customs, Shauna calls me...tells me to hurry, like I have any control with Israeli security and the process. The security guard in Passport Control asks me lots of questions, very abrupt...then she asks the nature of my visit. I start to cry, saying I am here to see my daughter. Going to see everyone today for Zach's 18th birthday. Happy Birthday Zach! Just found out that coincidentally...guess who is going to be in Amsterdam, when I am in there, damn???
