Trellis Hi there, I really enjoyed reading your travel blog. It's too bad your last day in the Philippines was a frustrating one. I gotta say that I'm jealous that you got to eat at Trellis (my fave resto in RP) in Quezon City. It was closed the last time I was there 3 months ago but I've spent many nights there over the years eating sisig and downing ice cold San Miguels.
cheers,
Reuel (Montreal QC)
You're right. Yeah, at that time, Chinese peaple chose Mao. but now, nobody know if we will choose Communist Party again. but every Chinese peaple wish to see China became better and better.
Great again You've got to publish this in a book or something, it's really great to read. I subscribed to your blog so I'll be updated when you post a new one. Although I think you must have left the Philippines because of the 21 day visa permit? Or did you got another visa? Keep publishing! Thanks!
~~ Now I am more interested in your book than your trip. You know I am really interested in international relationship. ;) It's so pity that I can't get this book in China~~~
Update~~ You make me expect for the trip to Philippine now. and I agree with the last sentence. It's true. I always want to go to some places again just for the peaple there.
I am waiting for the blog about my country agog now. So~update~~~and have a good time in China! :)

Ton grand frère préféré!
Where is my lab partner?
Keep on trucking! Hey Victor,
Wow it is great reading your blog- it is cool to see how things are going with you.
I know it is too late now- but I know it is very common for batteries bought there not to work- even brand name ones. Once you get to a more industrialized place - I would by rechargable ones and a recharger for the future.
Anyways- keep up with the updates and good luck on your adventures!
Brandon
I love how detailed your blogs are Vic! I have to say though, you're making me miss my europe travelling! I just got back-and so I know you're going to have an amazing time! and your'e right, everyone is super friendly-take advantage and make friends!!
Book idea! Hey Vic!! I'm glad to hear about your trip so far-it sure beats working in the lab right now!! If you want a good book to read, get "The Alchemist" it's by a guy named Paolo Cohello (at least I think that's how it's spelt) I hope you like it, it's not a western book, so I think you'll enjoy it. Can't wait to hear about Hong Kong!!
Thanks again for your appreciation of the meal!!
Christine
Missing francophones already? Bonjour Victor!
If you need any info or want to meet up and grab a bite, let me know. I think you have my phone #.
Happy travelling!
Emilie
Follow my adventures as I travel through Asia, the sub-continent, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe for a year or so. I'll be travelling solo, independantly and on a tight budget so it should be interesting.
There's been a little change in my itinerary. I cannot get a Iran visa as a Canadian so I opted to fly to Athens from Mumbai. From there I'll go through the Balkans in about a month before heading south toward Cairo overland.
I welcome any comments or constructive criticism.... full info
