Safe Travels
Hi ya, Have a safe journey to LA and then on home... look forward to catching up with you when you get back to Auckland.... Karen

Last days!!
Cemetary tours..In future try not to talk about these tours as a "slab" of history. That sort of comment is quite grave and dead boring not to mention a monumental blue!! (hopefully this isnt to "Cryptic"). Anyway sounds like the last day was a good relax and mixed feelings I bet at leaving Nawlins to start the long trek home. A bit of a late night hopefully the kids last it out OK. Have a fun day in LA not too much last minute shopping eh. The Swampies

Wow - you certainly had a action packed trip, Niels and Sven can't wait to hear all about it from Reuben. They wanted to show up on your doorstep on Friday Morning - talked them out of it until the weekend ;-)! Have a safe trip home - can't wait to catch up! Thanks again for all your daily updates - great reads!!

Wot's she like......?
Absolutely brilliant - what a girl Caitlin is - always ready to try something different. Somehow Reuben I am on your side here as bugs don't appeal! Thanks for taking the time each day to update us all - it is great reading about your exploits. I think Nana has made somr comment about Swan plants and caterpillars and the BBQ Caitlin - your call! Lotsa luv

???Too tempting to title
Hi Guys Now Caitlin I have a question for you==Should I leave all the caterpillars on the Swan Plant to turn into Butterflies or would you like them deep fried in Tempura batter when you come home? They will be fat and juicy by then.Go princess-you are a star. Reuben I'm with you =no bugs for me deep fried or any which way!! Sounds like a fun place and lots to learn about critters though. Have you heard lots of good music? It looks a very interesting city with plenty to do.No news from me.Hot day again today. All good here.Loads of love to you 4

New Orleans looks fantastic
Hi guys. The music sounds great and I haven't even heard it!! The kids are really getting into all the different experiences aren't they? Would loved to have seen them taking in the music.Caitlin looked beautiful in her Princess dress and they both look as if they have had a ball wherever they've been . Shame that your bag turned up Michael. It would have been a good excuse for you to do some shopping .You could have bought one of those T Shirts that all the tourists buy "I went to N'Awlins and all I bought was this lousy T shirt". Well it won' t be long till you are heading home now,so enjoy and keep storing up the memories!!! Loads of love to you 4

True grits!
Your not supposed to eat grits...they are supposed to be used for fixing up broken pavement. Interesting photo of Reubs looking at the Mississippi, probably star gazing I'd say. Have you thought about a cemetery tour? Sounds weird but hey when in Rome can't be any worse than Cappucin monestaries. Will try to call you tomorrow. Text your phone number if you remember. Take care have fun.
7th January 2011

Props
You can tell a seasoned blogger when he has to hunt down wi-fi to get the day's blogging done. As mentioned before, RESPECT!! New Orleans looks like good fun, and not an abandoned building or flooded street in sight, (or are you censoring the less glamorous photos??)

LAST DAY IN ORLANDA
Hi ya, Hope Sandy didn't mess up the packing by bringing back too much shopping to add to the bags - would be a shame if the fibre optic tree had to be left behind... Sounds like a great day had by all and Caitlin makes a truly beautiful princess.... we always thought she was a real live princess bless her. The pinepple whips are huge and I do hope you really did share those with the kids - my personal view is that you shunted the kids into the teacups for half an hour while you sat there and ate them both..... All good over here .... more snow forecast this weekend - hurray - its been green for a couple of weeks so about time we turned the country white again! Travel safely.... Karen, Damian and Sprat.....
6th January 2011

Have enjoyed following your trip via the blog - great job Mike. Have a safe trip back. Sandy - I'll start pysching myself up for walking :-) Cheers, Wilma

Home soon
Hi Jacqui we are home on the 13th Jan (next Thursday) we leave LA on the 11th so miss the 12th!! Yes the mickey ears have had good use. Caitlin brought a princess dress and crown yesterday at the Magic Kingdom and wants to wear them today!!
5th January 2011

Sandy found the magic....
so pleased to hear that you had another successful shopping trip, but have to say the day in the park sounds like the best bit to me.... Great to see Missy meeting so many of her stars... the queuing for autographs will be dampened by the time you get home when she will just remember meeting them all when she looks at the photos and the autographs! You are so right about the junk food element - it was the same in Disneyland Paris when we went there a few years ago and we had the same issue with the mobility scooters... hey I nearly got bowled over by one in Tesco's the other day... but she had no issue on stepping off that cart and reaching to the top shelf - yes the top shelf to get what she wanted down and then walk about ten paces up the aisle to get something else off the opposite top shelf...... I did suspect that she really didn't need that scooter at all when I bumped into her outside the supermarket pushing a trolley to her car like there was nothing at all wrong with her....
5th January 2011

Go Sandra
Nothing wrong with shedding a tear Sandra don't be shy! How much longer are you away for? Will you be home for your 20 year anniversary? Good to see Caitlin getting good use out of her ears :-)
4th January 2011

Rodent patrol
There is an interesting article in the Florida times about how most of the theme park characters are off sick with some form of "Man flu" apparently they have all been hugged by the same person in the last two weeks and are feeling the effects now. Dont try to deny it Mike we all know you secretly long to frot with furry creatures hence their sickness. Sounds like "They" were right when "They" predicted no crowds at Disney this week Eh! looks like Caitlin was in her element watching the parade etc. I dont belive Reubs beat you on the Buzz Lightyear ride you may as well go and line up for the teacups now!! Hope today was as good as yesterday. take care The Swampies
4th January 2011

Man flu? wot's that........
Great update - sounds like a real exciting day had by the kids (and adults no doubt). Thanks for the update on Caitlin's driving - I'll make sure the keys for the Swift are well hidden. Again some brilliant pics and these daily blogs have helped us to enjoy your holiday even if vicariously. Hope the 'lads' are both feeling better and that the 'wimmin' don't sucumb as well. Enjoy your next day at Disney - there is certainly something there for everyone. All well here. Lotsaluv.

HYGIENE
Okay got a few chuckles in this blog but the big one is probably reserved for your concerns on how often the chipmunks costumes get washed... its Disney - they probably don't get dirty (or they have one for every day of the week and spares)... Just to clarify on soccer players though - they don't as a rule hug chipmunks - they are too busy hugging each other for that! Sorry to hear you had man flu - hope my flowers arrived in time... didn't sound like you were getting much sympathy though! Once again great photos and its great to see you all having so much fun...... Speak to you soon,. Karen

Love that hat Reuben
Hi guys.Obviously another good day had by all.I am getting a little worried.Has anybody said"when are we going home?"I can't imagine they have. Not sure what reaction "Shall we go to Botany for a coffee" might have. However Sandy you can always take Reuben shopping at "Farceys"!!!He looks great in his hat.He can wear it to impress his "Touch Rugby"mates???Caitlin would have loved the Little Mermaid.Love those Minnie Mouse ears, very cute. Seriously, you look as if you have all had a holiday to remember.Have you given up on the shopping yet Sandy? We went into Myers yesterday. It was quite busy, not bad. They are in the middle of huge refurb and looking great. Good coffee shop. You will be very disappointed in me though.Alan left me to "do my thing" for 2 hours and I purchased one very "ordinary"pair of sandals.Loads of love.Over to AB Hi there - enjoyed reading about your day out at Disney Studios - looks as if you had fun!Great photos and JB has commented on those. All I bought yesterday were the tram tickets ansd the coffees! Although I did get Jan a luvly Giorgio Armani perfume and body lotion at Myers for her birthday - she chose so it will be a good one. We head home on Thursday - enjoy the rest of your trip. Loadsaluv!!!!!! (PS: Aust 5 / 149 on day 21st innings of 5th test)

I never made it to the launch pad due to the fuel leak, so very jealous. Can't believe you didn't make it into the gift shop to buy more solar powered keyrings!!
