| 2nd February 2007 Becky | Pitcairn - From: Pitcairn Island Thanks for the education on the island. What a great way for the cruise ships to bring the world to these folks on the island. Enjoy the sun and the gorgeous ocean! |
| 1st February 2007 Herbert Ford | Questions - From: Bound for Pitcairn Island Great to read your journal - Particularly about Pitcairn. I keep a record of all vessels calling at Pitcairn, and wonder if you would send me some data I need for "your" entry: Name of your vessel, her tonnage, Captain's name, port called at just prior to Pitcairn, port to be called at following Pitcairn. This, with perhaps a few words from your journal, will be going into the next edition of my book "Pitcairn - Port of Call" which is a running account of every ship that has called at Pitcairn from 1790 to 1990. The new editon will add to those years to date. Thanks for your help as possible. Herbert Ford, hford@puc.edu. Fax: 707-965-6504. | 23rd January 2007 Ann Marie | Wow! What a big chess board - From: Bound for Callao (Lima), Peru I was catching up on your blog site this afternoon and noticed the giant chess set by the pool. Glad to read that Drew and Matt are keeping in practice. We miss all of you at chess club. (chess club is this afternoon, by the way.) No big changes at school. Next week is Catholic Schools week. We're having some fun dress up days and Friday is student appreciation day so they have the day off. Star reader program up and running in the library. You can link to the AR list on EdLine as of today! Keep writing your journal entries. We enjoy knowing where you are and what you are doing. The sticky arrows are adding up on the map. The students like to look at it and read the times on the clock faces hanging above it. |

| 19th January 2007 Aunt Anita | 17th of Jan - From: Bound for the Panama Canal You guys are awesome! What a wonder to see the world like this. I liked the quote you had on your pillow Drew. It's amazing to me that at your age you are able to know what that means! You are very mature for your age. Uncle Jim came out of surgery with addtl. 12 screws and two plates. (May be difficult to pass through security at the airports from now on!) I'm not a worry Ward, (no offense intended, just joking) but I was very relieved when Jim woke up from his surgery. God is good! So proud to call you family and pray you are all well and happy. Love, Aunt Anita |
| 19th January 2007 Ken | Ship in The Locks - From: Take a Look at us in the Canal! I saw you go through the mirafloras lock at 4:15. Tell the Capt. he was a little late. Matt and Drew were waving from a porthole or it may have been a smuge on my screen. 83 degrees there, 30 degrees here in NC. I'm turning UP the heat! |
| 19th January 2007 Becky | Canal - From: Take a Look at us in the Canal! We missed your ship! I did not get a chance to check the blog until it was too late. You will have to tell us all about it. I'm still trying to figure out how you fit everything in in less than 200 square feet! That is an engineering feat albeit one that pales in comparison to the Panama Canal. ttyl. |
