17th of Jan You guys are awesome! What a wonder to see the world like this. I liked the quote you had on your pillow Drew. It's amazing to me that at your age you are able to know what that means! You are very mature for your age. Uncle Jim came out of surgery with addtl. 12 screws and two plates. (May be difficult to pass through security at the airports from now on!) I'm not a worry Ward, (no offense intended, just joking) but I was very relieved when Jim woke up from his surgery. God is good! So proud to call you family and pray you are all well and happy. Love, Aunt Anita
Ship in The Locks I saw you go through the mirafloras lock at 4:15. Tell the Capt. he was a little late. Matt and Drew were waving from a porthole or it may have been a smuge on my screen. 83 degrees there, 30 degrees here in NC. I'm turning UP the heat!
Canal We missed your ship! I did not get a chance to check the blog until it was too late. You will have to tell us all about it. I'm still trying to figure out how you fit everything in in less than 200 square feet! That is an engineering feat albeit one that pales in comparison to the Panama Canal. ttyl.
Panama Canal I recently read McCullough's book about the building of the Panama Canal (The Path between the Seas) so am very interested in this part of your trip. I definitely want to do a cruise through the canal. What an incredible feat! I'm very envious of your next few months! Can't wait to check your blog each day.
A good start.... Well, it seems like a pretty good start so far. Everyone has the life-jacket on the right way! The two dudes are looking pretty grown-up. Ft. Lauderdale doesn't have 1.5" of ice on its driveway either. I guess I will have to live vicariously through the blog!!
Hello All! We are family of four beginning a trip Around the World on January 14, 2007!! This blog is mainly to document the events of our trip for us and for our family and friends.
