Groetjes Tim & ... read more

Hey, well this will be my last travelblog! First of all there was something wrong with the download of the pictures.....so will fix that later. Beside that, I traveled trough the east-coast of Oz land over the last 3 weeks. While leaving Cairns I just reached a point were I'm satisfied with what I've done. Not hungry any more to C more at the moment. So I decided to visit 2 more spots on the east coast: Noosa and Byron Bay before heading to Sydney. So after Cairns I went to Noosa, a lovely, relaxed and quit a posh town above Brisbane. The town is full of nice houses (it's called the St-tropez of the east coast), nice beaches, bars.... I hired a bike so that I had some exercise again(...getting laizy here) Of course, relaxing ... read more

HEy, time is going fast and has been a while since my last update, so here a quick overview of were I've been/what I've done. After leaving Adelaide I headed off to Melbounre through the Great Ocean road Famous for the 12 apostles. In reality there are 14 ....but 2 "spareparts" .These rock-formations are made of limestone, once in a while they loze an apostel... (last lost was a couple of months ago). In between visited some parks with Koala's and Kangoroes, some nice walks etc.. Melbourne: beautiful, lively, heaps to do, .... So I walked a lot, had a river-cuise, went to the tennis-courts of the Australian Open (unfortunatly the big court was closed), went to C a stand-up comedian as there was an Internation Comedy event, visited Melbourne Aquarium, the botanical gardens which are ... read more

Hey you all, Finally some news from down under. First impression of Perth, nice and very clean! I stayed in the city 4 days, enjoyed a Hoegaarden in the Belgian Beer Café, walked around the city, chilled in the nice park and then I started a trip up to Exmouth, north off Perth. This was an organized trip. The cost would be almost similar and for some areas you just need good 4*4 transportation. We took off with a group off +/- 20 people. The first 5 days visited the Pinnacles (see picture), sand boarding on dunes, nice walks to the bottom of the Canyon (and up of coarse..) in Kalbary National park. Great views, nice walks and hot: 38C! All good, but then in there are the flies in W Australia. I started to feel ... read more

Hey quick update. After Kho Pan Gnan I traveled with the train up to Bankok, The journey lasted +/- 12 hr. Must say, beside of the noise from the train, it's better then a bus, @ night you can sleep as they transform the seats into beds, there is a restaurant and the possibility to smoke:-) (something I want to quit when I'm down Under as 2 expensive over there) Quit a big station which reminded me on the Antwerp station, trains couldn't go further and it's covered under a huge roof. After arrival I took a Tuk-Tuk to Kho pan Road. One road full off guest-houses and the spot were almost all backpackes are. While brushing my tooth I saw a Spanish man who I met together with 2 Irish, the first day that I ... read more

Hey you all, well I'm Thailand! It took me 28 hr to come here and that gave me time to change my mind....so I'm not in Bankok but in Ko Pha Ngan, an island on the east-coast of Thailand next to Ko Samui, world-famous for the Full-moon party. On top of that I met a dutch couple in Cherating who told me that there is a kite-surf scool as well....so changed my mind and will stay her a week probably. Tonight is the full-moon party so thousands of people come over, also from other islands to party whole night on the beach. I met Dyllon here again, a Canadian who I met in Kuala Lumpur and joined to Tamana Negara. We went out together to a "pre-full moon" (there is also a half-moon and a black ... read more

Hey all, well a fast update on the situation here, after 3 weeks I'm still in Malaysia. After my short visit to Penang which I didn't like (didn't give it time either as I knew I had to go back to KL to meet Amanda and Chris (Swedish Dude) to go to Tamana Negara) I traveled to KL were I also met Dylan, another Canadian, who wanted to join us to Tamana Negara. Better to be with 4 as if you want to do a 4 day hike, you need a guide so cheaper if you go with 4....anyway, 2 days later arrived in TN and had a hostel with view on the river, a hamac etc... we took first a chill day were we sorted out all the permits, tents, food etc. The 4 days ... read more
