I really enjoyed seeing your trip. You make good quick comments and a great variety of pics. I have no idea how I stumbled upon this but glad I did. I guess you play soccer professionally? Pretty cool job. So what does a Sultan do for work anyway?
Hey. I was browsing along and read this entry. It's crazy because I just finished a similar trip, and we stayed at the exact same bungalows exactly 1 month before you were there. "Momma's" great, altho we politely declined the ganga she offered us with our breakfast... We werent as smart about taking VIP buses tho...the non-vip from Vientiane to Pakse is like a large version of the one from Pakse to Don Det!
Merry Christmas Your mother forwarded you latest visit and I enjoyed visiting part of the world I have never seen, with you.
Keep safe, love and best wishes
Lucky Guy Hey it's Nathan.Your father told me of this blog and so I checked it out. WoW! I am so jealous of you. I will talk to you soon and I will visit over the holidays.
Dedication Tim,
You are a very dedicated blogger, thanks for keeping the saga going...it is great to read your regular entries. Even with ants all over the keyboard!!
hahaha... Thanks for that, Tim. I quite enjoyed your monkey-focused blog! Too cute. Love all the pictures you have been taking. They are amazing!I need to get back out in to the world.
You don't know me, but... HEY! First off I just want you to know that I'm very jealous of you guys! I spent two months backpacking in Thailand this summer (my friend and I's blog: http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Mark_and_Raylene/), and am planning a trip back for next May (1 month in Thailand and 1+ months Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia). I found your blog a couple weeks ago and you are making me so JEALOUS! Your pics and stories are awesome and it makes me want to quit school and leave right now!
I do have a tip for you though... if you are still in Koh Tao, go to this restaurant called "Famous House"... it is one the road between Haad Sai Ree and Chaloak Ban Kao and it is DEFINITLEY worth it! It'd only open for dinner though. The meals are cheap, and it was the only place I have ever been where you can get an appetizer, main course, dessert and a beer for under 150 baht! I ate the best meal of my life there ... as soon as I get back to Koh Tao that is the first place I am going!
Also the snorkeling in Tanote Bay is wicked, but you need to hire a truck to get you there b/c the roads are too crazy for a scooter. Also, if you can find it (you gotta hike up to it), go to "Happy Daze" - it's a huge 4 story treehouse where you can order mushroom shakes etc ;) ;).
Again I am so jealous! Make sure you go and check out Koh Phi Phi and Railey too. Take it easy and have a Singha for me...

Hi Tim,
I don't know if people normally comment on random blogs, but i just wantd to let you know, I've been having a great time reading yours. They've got so much detail (which is handy because I'm going to Laos soon), but it sounds like you're having a great time too. Hope the rest of your trip goes really well,
Verity
Keep them coming! Keep sending these Tim! We are sitting here at 10pm laughing at the things you have got up to. Glad you have finally met the fabled "lady boys"! We are reading and re-reading these posts and really enjoying the details and great photos (and your writing style, which is really fun to read).
Time of Your Life Hey Timmy,
Sounds like your having the Time of Your Life out there, you lucky son of a B#@*H. Keep up the good times. I'm enjoying living vicariously through your travel blog.
