| 7th January 2007 Andy | Journal - From: The end of a great year Great writing and commentary about the places, people, and experiences you've had so far! My girlfriend and I are from Colorado as well, Estes Park, and are headed to Central America on Jan. 17th for four months. I hope our time there will be as memorable and eventful as yours. It's also great hearing about what the people are really like in different countries contrary to the warnings the Department of State puts out. Enjoy your time with your family, I'm sure it'll be a nice break. Cheers, Andy www.andyjcollins.com |

| 26th November 2006 Tess | Thanks - From: Me and Colinīs final adventures Hey D and Susy! Thanks so much for the support, it means a lot to me. So far things have been going well alone, which makes me happy, but I am being very careful. | 25th November 2006 D | - From: Me and Colinīs final adventures I was sad to read about your split with Colin, as I knew you cared about him very deeply. I'm also sorry about your grandfather; it must be difficult to deal with loss without the familiarity and comfort of family and friends nearby. I admire your strength and your positive outlook, and feel certain that wonderful things lie ahead for you. I know that you've travelled alone before and will use extra caution. I honestly don't know many people who have your courage to step out of their comfort zone to truly discover themselves--you are an awesome role model, and I love reading your narration. Keep the communication flowing...Much love, Aunt D |
| 20th November 2006 Susan Farris | El Salvador - From: Me and Colinīs final adventures Tess, I don't know where you are headed to next by yourself, but Caroline stayed with a nice family in El Salvador on a school exchange--Gabby's dad is Dutch and her Mom Guatemalen. Would you like info about them? Han works for a relief agency of some kind. Anyway, I hope you are being very careful. I'm sad for you about the end of your relationship with Colin, and will be praying for your safety. Love you, Susan |

| 3rd November 2006 Susan Farris | - From: A week in bed What a wonderful attitude you have! It was a good thing you had enough sense to get into a better place, and it sounds like you had good grief counseling in the process....this trip will be a life changing experience when you take time to meditate on what is happening around you! Love you! Aunt Susan |
| 2nd November 2006 amy | :( - From: Phase two has begun on sad note So sorry to hear that TEss...:( You definitely felt him and I can tell you were very close to him. Well on another note, do take your time going down to Brasil cuz I may not be going for carnival anymore...Nothin is for sure, but my job offered to raise my pay to $18/hr and a bonus of $600 if I stay, so I don't know if I can pass that up. That means if I stay I won't be in Brasil until March. Much amor mi amiga. Te amo muchisimo!!!!! Besos, Amy |
| 23rd October 2006 Christie | adventure - From: Tess and Colin and the search of the hidden jade mask Sounds like you guys are having an amazing journey! There is a medical resident here form Mexico City and she told me Dia de Muertos is Nov 1st and worth seeing if you can. It is in ?Pasevaro or ?Patevaro (sorry, took German, no Spanish). I know you will be moving on soon but she also mentioned a butterfly sanctuary that sounded cool in Mariposas Monaccas, Morelia. Keep writing, it is so much fun to read. Love,C |
| 22nd October 2006 Deirdre | So happy - From: Tess and Colin and the search of the hidden jade mask Hi Tess, I'm so glad that the little trinkets are making some children smile over there. I know exactly how heartbreaking it can be to be there with all the wealth you know you're returning home to, encountering such deprivation at every step. One of my most joyful memories was as a teenager, visiting a Mexican orphanage and bringing the children bags and boxes of toys and clothing. It felt so good. If there is an address where you know you will be in the near future, I can send you some more stuff to pass out- let me know. I'm really enjoying your escapades! 6 days until the due date! Love, Deirdre |
