the whitsunday island trip was amazing. so many beautiful things. we did some snorkling and went to white haven beach which is 99% silica (i think). i loved sailing. i met lots of great people and had alot of fun. i got back to airlir beach and went to the lagoon there for the next cuple days that i was there. the weather was beautiful! i headed to megnetic island on friday for 2 nights. coincidently the full moon party was that night at my hostel. i met a girl from sweden who was in my room. we went to dinner and had some drinks.... too many and by the time we got to the full moon party we were ready for bed. the next day i wasnt up for doing too much so we lounged ... read more
so fremantle was really nice, small little town with a prison and brewery. i took the train to cottesloe beach, a really nice beach all white sand and clear water. but it was pooring rain and miserable so i left to go back to my hostel in fremantle. after 2 nights in fremantle i went back to perth city and stayed in a hostel that was all chinese people, but it was relaxing and i had the pool to myself and the tv with a billion channels. the following day in perth i went a on a walk to kings park which is a park on top of a hill that looks over perth. a girl named natalie showed up and i finally had someone to talk to. on sunday we went to rottnest island a ... read more
so i arrived in perth ok after being up for over 24 hours waiting for my plane i arrived in perth and slept for 18 hours. the last week i havent been doing much. walked around a bit but mostly laying by the pool since i finally have some constant good weather. when i left melbourne it was cold and rainy. tomorrow im going to fremantle which is a beach area in perth just south west.... read more
so i didnt get the job at the coffee shop and there arent any jobs available in st kilda so i have been hanging around with my friends. for the first week in st kilda(melbourne) i hung out with the people in my room who were there a whole week with me. i went to the beach and just hung around. then they left and my friend lucy from the great ocean road trip came to melbourne from tasmania so i have been hanging out with her for the last 2 weeks. now the weather is not very good, rainy and cold. so i have decided to fly to perth which is what i will be doing on sunday. havent been doing anything interesting because money is low right now.... read more
so the night before borossa valley a bunch of my friends were leaving the hostel and we drank alot, which was not smart for me since i was going to the wine tour the next day. but the next day i had a bit of a head ache. there was alot of wine tasting, we went to 4 winerys. we got back late me and the girls from my room had apple pie at 8 o clock and played cards. wed ,me and 2 new zealand girls lauree and sam and a german girl steffi went to the library. the library is airconditioned and free internet. me and steffi went to an underground opel mine which was part of a jewlery store... pretty lame and then went back to the hostel. that night me and my ... read more
so in airlie beach it was raining alot so basically everyone stayed in the hostel all day and drank at night for somethnig to do. a cuple of the days i went to the lagoon ( a giant pool that looks like a beach) and swam since when you walk outside you get drenched anyways. so the first 2 nights were mostly girls in my room and we hung out and on the the last 2 nights were mostly guys. we just sat around the room at the hostel and played drinking games. i booked a flight to go to adelaide on wed the 4th. so i had to fly to brisbane and get a connecting fligth to adelaide and arrived in adelaide at 10:30 at night. i wasa very confussed how to get to my ... read more
so the last cuple of weeks i spent with janine and her kids riley and hayes. it was nice to have a room to myself. i spent christmas and new years there and then decided to go to fraser island, but the weather wasnt good until the mid january. so i went for a weekend trip to fraser island on a self drive tour with 7 other people. we caught a ferry to fraser island and went to lake mackenzie first, it was the most beautiful lake on fraser island! white sandy beaches and very clear fresh water. we then 4x4ed our way to our hostel where we were booked for 2 nights. that night we went out to the onyl bar in the area which closed at 11 oclock, we played connect 4 and trivial ... read more
when i arrived i brisbane my hostel was very close to the bus stop. i checked in and went to go watch a movie. at this hostel i ran into a guy that i graduated school with, trevor and his freind who i had met a cuple of times danny. after saying hello i went to bed. the following day i walked around brisbane trying to get someone to fix my camera, which couldnt be fixed so i got a new one ( thanks dad). i got back watched some tv and then went to bed early. the next day i met up with the guys that i knew from school and walked around with them to the botanical gardens and around downtown brisbane. that night we went out to a cuple of the bars. the ... read more
when i arrived in byron bay it was pretty late so i walked to my hostel and got settled in. i met a girl from vancouver who was in my room. i walked around a little bit and then went to bed. thursday i woke up and walked around all the stores and walked around the beach. afterwards i went to the pool with one of the girls from the room. i met some of the girls in my room, 2 sisters named jess and chloe. that night me jess chloe and another girl had some drinks and then went out to a famous bar there called cheeky monkeys. cheeky monkeys was very busy because of schoolies week. it is a week for students that just graduated. most of them are 18 and the legal age ... read more
i arrived in port mcquarie late at night, it was incredably stormy. the bus was an hour late. the hostel i stayed at had a driver pick me up, which i was glad because it was such bad weather and was close to 10 30pm. when i had woken the next morning it was not very nice out but was extremly humid because of the storm. i walked around town and saw all the shops. and walked around the harbour which was very nice, i think i might have seen dolphins which is very common there but i wasnt sure. i walked to the koala hospital and saw some of the injured koalas. there injurys are due to car accidents, disease and fallen injuries. they are not very smart animals but very cute. i then walked ... read more
