becoming a certified diver In fiji, I learned to dive and am now a certivied 'junior open water' scuba diver with PADI the Professional Asociation of Diving Instructors..!! It wasd fantastic, first I did the discover scuba diving course and liked it so much I did the open water course. I had to do 5 swimming pool diving sessions and four open water dives and some theory. The diving on the coral reefs was amazing. I saw two baby white tipped shark s which were hiding in a little cave, I also saw a black white and orange 'nemo'h next to its home anenome. We saw a big green moray eel hiding in a hidy hole, and just millions and millions of fantastic coloured fish. All in all a fantastic time. We are now off to ... read more
From Sunny Goa to Sunny Brisbane It took us a long time to get from Goa to Brisbane. First we got a lift with the owner of our guest house in Baga, Captain Marvin. Dad hoped he was a better driver of ships than cars but he got us safely to the airport and we flew to Mumbai. We spent ages waiting for our flight to Sydney but met up with Ronan Martin, the fiddler from Skye - we thought it was amazing that 2 Ronans from Skye could be on the same flight! Because our flight was delayed we missed the connection to Brisbane but caught the next one and were picked up and taken by bus to the Woodford Festival. The whole journey was over 30 hours and I only slept for about 8 ... read more
Werribee Open Range Zoo We went to Werribee Open Range Zoo which is a massive zoo with animals from all over the world. It is GREAT. When we arrived, the first thing we did was join a "safari" tour and we saw so much! The safari bus was specially designed with lots of camouflage design on the outside and the whole side of the bus opened up like a door - all very odd! The idea for the safari is that you experience different continents and the bus drives you through Asia, Africa and Australia. Africa was the main part. The driver chatted as we drove along and he was very informative and told us lots about the animals ie. giraffes chew their food then swallow it and regurgatate it four times! We passed through the ... read more
We were in Baga Beach, Goa. We stayed with our friends Tilly, Ian and Lewis at a little guest house called Nani's and Rani's. Most days we went to the mini beach which was a wee clamber over the rocks. On Christmas Day we were on the beach until midday and then mum organised for a boat to pick us up and take us dolphin watching! We saw three pods of dolphins and I loved it! When we landed back on the little beach our friends had ordered Ronans favourite snack which was ready on the table - chips and tomato sauce and coke - what a great Christmas lunch!! Later on, Cliff who owned the beach bar, stayed open late for us to have our Christmas Dinner on the beach! Fresh tuna steaks, yum yum. ... read more

Visit to an international school Lewis lives with his mum and dad, Tilly and Ian. These are the friends we have been staying with in Delhi. Lewis goes to an International School. He is 16 and is on 10th grade (they have grades instead of years). On the 6th of December we (Dad, Mum, Tilly, Ian, Ronan and me) went to the school to watch Lewis perform in the "beginners band" at the Shanti Concert. It was in a massive theatre which was bigger than Aros but not quite as big as Eden Court. This is just part of the school complex which includes a 25m swimming pool. This seems a great school, it is massive and has great facilities and the theatre/auditorium was great. The concert was great and I couldn't believe that the "beginners ... read more
Last weekend; Ian, Dad, Mum, ronan and me went to Bharatpur bird and animal watching. In Bharatpur there is a park called the Keoladeo National Park and it is a World Heritage Site because of all the birds and animals there. We spent two nights there and most of the middle day was spent in the park We saw loads of birds, the best one in my view was the Indian Roller. The indian Roller is a very pretty bird with bright blue wings etc... We also saw deer, antelope, a mongoose (we think) and turtles. The next morning ian and me went for an early morning walk and we saw a WOLF!! It was only about 2 metres away and I think it was pretty amazing!... read more
Air gach taobh dha'n a Ghanga, far an robh sinn a campadh, bha beantan mora a dol suas agus suas! Gach oidhche, anuair a bha sinn a suidhe timicheal air an teine, bha sinn a coimhead suas air na soluis a bha tighinn bho na coimhearsnachdan beaga a bha fuireach shuas. Cha robh dealan aca, 's leis a sin cha robh moran soluis ann airson na daoine a bha fuireach as na beantan. Aon latha choisich sinn air an drochaid a bha dol thairis an Ganga agus chaidh sinn suas an rathad cas. Bha torr dhaoine ag obair gu trang ag ullachadh an rathad agus bha iad uile cho deonach agus toilichte a bhi g'obair comhladh. Bha na nigheanan a togail na clachan mora agus a coiseach leis air a cheann agus bha na gillean an ... read more

Since there were no baths at the Silversands camp and since Ronan hates showers he had to have a "bucket"! He had a bucket which we took into the square tented shower rooms and filled from the tap which was half way up the showers water pipe. We don't know how the water was heated but it came out nice and warm once we gave the guys at the camp a 10 minute warning! The showers were normal enough for me and Ronan seemed to enjoy his bucket!... read more
