After arriving in London Heathrow T4, I spent most of my time reporting my loss to the relevant authorities. I then transferred to T5 where I managed to get some refreshment and breakfast in the lounge. I caught up with an old family friend then caught the later flight up to Newcastle where I met the family. We all went out for a meal where I was fighting to stay awake by the end of it.... read more

After boarding the flight in Singapore, ended up sitting in a new seat and this enabled me to sleep during most of the flight however during this time, I lost my watch. Upon arrival in London the stewardesses helped me to search for the watch but to no avail.... read more

I awoke at 05:45 to find that my sister was ready for me, we drove to Tamaranta bay where we walked along the coastal walk towards Bondi, the Bronte to Bondi Sculpture walk was still open so we saw some lovely sculptures. At the end of the walk we returned to Jenny's in Bronte for a take away coffee. Later on we went to Bondi with the children, this time it was to visit icebergs and for us to say hi to the guys from "The Crabbe Corner". After a coffee and rasin toast it was time to say gooodbye to the guys and return home. Whilst the children were sleeping, I packed and we woke them up for my trip to the airport. With the time flying by it was soon time for me to ... read more

Another early start, but this time we were up early ready to meet my sisters friend for a swim at Bronte beach. Afterwards we decamped to the local cafe called Jenny's for breakfast and coffee. My sister left me to do some retail therapy at the Westin Bondi Junction shopping centre. After a couple of hours I made my way home just in time for the evening BBQ. My sister had invited some family friends to the BBQ it was lovely to catch up with them as I had not seen them in 3 years. When it started to rain we decamped from the yard to the front room for desert and coffee. Sadly the time was soon over and it was time for bed. ... read more

A lazy morning, followed by a trip to Sydney Zoo to see the Kangaroos and Koala's, with the children. At the end of the trip we drove over to Balmoral beach for fish and Chips downed by Oyster Bay wine. The children had a great time chasing the seagulls and playing in the sea. With a lovely sunset, we wandered back to the car and headed for home.... read more

Another early start again with assistance from the children, this time my neice was destined to spend the day at Kinde whilst my sister, my nephew and I were destined for my nephew's music lesson in Bondi. After we arrived we had the opportunity to meet the teacher, the parents and my nephew's new friends. The teacher started to sing whilst we clapped along, it seemed that my nephew was more interested in everything else but the singing, especially the bongo drums. We wandered along the beach to one of my sisters favourite cafe's where we had lunch overlooking the beach. It was great to watch the surfers walk past with their wet suits on and surf board under their arms. Soon we were leaving Bondi for home and my nephew's afternoon nap. During this time ... read more

After a slow start, I was awoken by a new alarm clock; this was the children coming to climb on me. With this incentive, I got up and had breakfast with them soon we were preparing for their friends to visit. After having a lovely relaxing day it was my turn to cook and baby sit for the evening whilst my sister went out for the evening. The main meal was Spaghetti Bolognaise but the mission was to feed the children, bath them and prepare their bottles. I succeeded with my niece but failed at the stinky nappy with my nephew. Luckily for me their dad returned from work and saved my bacon. ... read more

I awoke early to see the rain and mist on the blue mountains, this continued as the train rattled down into Sydney, I collected my things and alighted the train at 10:00 only to be met by my Sydney welcoming committee, my sister, neice and nephew. We left the station in the rain and wandered to the car, we drove to my sister's local cafe where we enjoyed the cafe's speciality, rasin toast and coffee. Suitably recharged we returned home for the children to have their afternoon naps. By 16:00 I was back in Central Sydney sitting on the quayside waiting for the Sydney Opera house tour that I had booked to start. It was still raining and at the time when I was taking photos of the Sydney Harbour Bridge I was thinking of the ... read more

The alarm call that I had booked for the morning was ten minutes early, but this gave me the extra time to throw my things into my new case for the next part of the journey. The taxi driver Ian took me to Keswick station where I boarded the train called the Indian Pacific bound for Broken Hill. During the journey I met a elderly traveller, he seemed to be a delightful and sprightly 85 year old who had emigrated to Australia in 1949 from Europe after listening to the first part of his life story we had lunch in the Queen Alexandra buffet car where he continued to tell me about more of his life story. We arrived at Broken Hill at 16:30 where I had booked a tour of the town, to me this ... read more
