When we returned from Halong Bay the only thing we had to do before leaving for Sapa was to change our clothes and get a shower. It must have been around noon when we looked out into the majestic Halong Bay- well- at least as far as we could see. Due to the fog we could only see as far as 100m at max. So our spirits weren’t any higher than early this morning when we were picked up around 0800 and started our trip- together with 10 other people. 12 hours after leaving Hué I arrived save and sound in Hanoi- only to be greeted by some more rain at six o’clock in the morning… After some hassle with the local’s which desperately wanted me to book some hotel for which they would earn commission I managed to get to the guesthouse I had a booking at- well at least that’s what I thought. Now here I am in Hué! Flying here was definitely the right decision (yes Boris, you where right!)- sparing me more than one day in a bus. One thing I didn’t appreciate though was the fact that I had about 4 babies sitting in my immediate vicinity- nothing’s wrong with babies, don’t get me wrong please! And I usually don’t have a problem when a baby cries- but when 4 (in one word: FOUR!!!) babies raise their high pitched voices to max noise level- that’s the point where I start to get a little unnerved. Hi everybody- It’s been a while since you last heard from me but as you may remember Boris and I were busy relaxing on Mui Ne beach! It wasn’t before Saturday that we finally got our gear ready and headed to Vietnams biggest city- Saigon. Well, what to say about Saigon- my grandma once said: If you can’t say anything good- don’t say anything! That would mean I am finished! So here we are in Mui Ne! After an easy and surprisingly quick bus ride from Dalat, we arrived Friday around noon. After a quick look around we also found a room which is not to pricy and still in a nice area- good enough for us to spend the next week or so whilst loitering on the beach… :) So what does Mui Ne look like? Dalat- When Boris arrived in Nha Trang late in the afternoon on the 11th of February we didn’t really do much- apart from drinking several beers to celebrate. What did we celebrate you may ask- well as far as I know- I don’t know anymore! But we did it anyway. For the next two days we hung around Nha Trang and got used to the laissez-faire attitude we needed to get accustomed to, as quickly as possible. So, time for a quick update again. On my last day in Nha Trang before leaving for Hoi An, I was brave enough to rent a bicycle. Early in the morning- around ten- I made my way to see all the bits n pieces that where mentioned in my travel guide.
