Operation Phuket The flight was only a short journey, nearly a hour I think properly the same from the UK to Amsterdam but that's another story. As soon as I got off the plane it was hoter than Bangkok and that was hot. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and you could see the hills and jungle and it looked like something off a post card, amazing. I collected my bag and from that moment I realised I did not have a clue were to go. PART 2 During the taxi ride towards the city of Bangkok I noticed all the lights from the high rise buildings and the traffic was manic. Cars honking there horns and swerving in and out of lanes, more like a rat race than careful driving like the Uk. The journey was apox 30-40 minuets driving through the hustle and bustle was a real eye opener. Looking out the window I noticed people just living on the side of the roads in make shift houses, made out of old bill boards and plastic sheeting and so on, but everyone looked really happy, everyone was smiling and It was something I wasn't used to because every one in England is as miserable as sin.
