Take the train they said.... it will be fun, you can see the jungle. Haha ya it was a dark sleepless 15 hour trek. Couldn't see anything and too loud and rough to sleep. Such a cool city this Chiang Mai is. There is a different sort of market around every block. Lots of sketchy electrical work around the city. We checked into a hostel for about $3.80 each a night. Got up bright and early and flew to Chiang Mai. Oh wow do we love it here. The vibe is just amazing. People are great, food is tasty (and cheap), no complaints! Walked from the airport into the city and explored around until we found a hotel for the next couple nights, then continued to explore some more. Met some very helpful tourists who went out of their way to give us a map and some advice on where to go and set us up with a discounted Tuk-Tuk (3-wheeled taxi mixed with motorcycle cart). Went to two temples briefly already, although they were winding down for the night already so we couldn't stay long. One temple was the only silver temple in the world. Absolutely breath taking.
