Surprise!
Only me again...I'm off on another adventure, this time - AFRICA. An epic overland expedition spanning 8 countries over 9 weeks, done on a budget, which means - yes - I'm CAMPING for 9 weeks!!
The journey begins in Nairobi, Kenya, and ends 9 weeks later in Cape Town, South Africa, passing through Uganda, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia along the way.
Again I'm going on my own, and joining a tour when I get there. I was reluctant to join a tour again as I loved the last 5 weeks of independent travel in SE Asia so much, but with Africa being unsafe in some parts, plus a lack of time to plan/organise everything properly, I felt a tour was the only option this time around. Hopefully it will be a complete contrast from SE Asia, another brand new experience that I will enjoy just as much, but for different reasons. I'm a bit attached to my SE Asia trip and worried that nothing could ever possibly measure up to it, let alone top it, so Africa has high expectations to fulfil. But if what I have heard is to be believed then I won't be disappointed...
