auto what.... Hi Sam Sam and Lucy, What is an auto rickshaw? Sounds fun whatever it is. A bit of a squeeze but gets you round. So you all went on a spending spree as well. I would love to see a fort especailly after you saying how amazing it was and the views were out of this world. India looks a pretty impressive place. I think I will add this to my list of places to visit He! he! Riding camals must have been an experience in it self wow! But how many hours??? oh my goodness that must have been tiring. It sounds like you all had a lot of fun though. Holiday of a life time ...Something you will never forget... lucky girls :) Have a great last few weeks. Try to make the most of it.. relax and enjoy.. See you all soon lots of love Mum V xxxx
Taj Mahal "...his second wife who died giving birth to her 14th child" -I'm not surprised! The poor woman was obviously shattered! lol
That pic of the road in Mumbai is wicked by the way - just the kind of bustling street you'd imagine Michael Palin reporting from!
what is happening to the weather? Hi Girls Could not believe it when I read that it was freezing when u arrived in Dehli... The weather is sooo strange, apparently though, they have been having freak weather. Its such a shame that it is happening while you are out there but at least you managed to keep some of your winter clothes. I am so glad that you enjoyed staying with your friend Samarth and his family. It is soo much better when you have someone to take you to places. They can explain things more clearly. There are some lovely places too. Please thank him and his family for looking after you and making your stay in Dehli a much more pleasant one. I am soo glad you are going back to see him before you go back to England. Not long now... Can't wait to see you. Will have your long awaited roast dinner ready. India looks a lovely place. I think I will put it to the top of my list of places to visit. Luv u loads Mum XXX
Sooo glad to hear that the people were friendly after moving on from Thailand. You seemed to do and fit in an awfull lot considering the little time you had in Maylasia. The twin towers look impressive, what views wow!. I bet you was soo glad you missed the lift down so that you could have the extra 10 minutes. (Thats something I would do He! He!) Can u imagine your dad though (Sam)He would have been panicking..... I love the night time pic of the view from the KL Tower. Cameron Highlands look like fun too. Lookng forward to your next place of visit Love Mum V xxxxx

elephant trekking Wow! what can I say girls. We went elephant trekking in Thailand, but we only had 45 mins of sitting in a chair on the elephant .It is something I will never forget mind you... but what you all did by feeding, washing and sitting on the elephants neck must have been a wonderful experience I know you will never be able to forget it What great pics as well. Christmas was quite sad. we all missed you Sam (I know that Sam and Lucy were missed also by their parents) but it was a lovely surprise to get the phone call on christmas day it made us feel a lot better and then we were able to enjoy the rest of the day. It sounds like you had an incredible time and New year Eve meeting up with some English guys, most have been the icing on the cake. Carry on havin a great time. luv u Mum V xxx
Brill hol in Thailand Hi Girls ...We had a great time in Thailand and meeting up with you girls made it an extra special holiday. We hope we were able to help you just a little bit. I think you all needed a much needed rest and lazing round our hotel pool, sunbathing, and swimming must have helped I don't knw about you, but we thought the James bond island was a brilliiant trip especially the canoeing, havin a guide paddle us around under the caves made it such a lovely relaxing day. I can't believe how many pictures I had taken, its got to be more then 600....I have had 300 printed the rest I will leave on a CD. I am going to make you all a DVD on the clips I took of our time together. I am very pleased with the footage I managed to get. Hope you will be too. Sooo glad you enjoyed Phi Phi Island. I must admit Maya Beach looks so much better when it is empty. If only we had, had, a little bit longer, we could have gone to Phi Phi and stayed in the island for a few days with you. I was a bit disappointed when I heard that they had beach parties everynight never mind.... I will have to go back again YES! Hope you all have a great time in India love u lots mum V xxxx
JUMPER!! What a terrific memory you will have - riding, feeding and washing Jumper the elephant on Christmas Day. I would love to do something like that! Look after each other girls. Take care and enjoy yourselves. Love Mum Sue XX
Please be careful girls I was not very happy to read that you went with some Chinese blokes.. I know nothing happened ....but you should be more careful especially in this day and age... anyway I have had my moan... You seemed to be having a good time even though you had trouble getting them to understand you. Glad they were friendly and sounds like you were treated as celebrities. Shame the Country suffers with polution. Can't be very nice having the Country covered in Smog. Not seeing the sun. I am not sure I would enjoy the food either chewey eyeballs and chicken claws with toes nails yuk! Its been an experence, something you won't ever forget. Look forward to your next saga.. Luv Mum V xxx
Anything goes It must have been a bit of a nightmare for all of you when you first arrived. Having the locals trying to rip you off but If I know you Sam I am sure you made sure they were not going to get away with it. It must have been scarey but also quite funny at the same time seeing so many motorbikes on the road. Love the pictures of the caves the colours are beautiful. Its sounds like you were celebrities in this part of the Country. Soo glad you enjoyed it.
Shopping, spend spend spend Hi Girls, well what can I say... shop until you drop... so glad you enjoyed yourselves in Vietnam. Us woman do like our shopping and having tailor made clothes right near where you are staying and sooo cheap it just makes it soo much better doesn't it. Its seems you had both shops and beach holiday all in one. A well earned rest for all three of you. I was soo pleased to hear that you really enjoyed it. Vietnam is definitely on our list for one of the places to visit for a holiday in the future. Great photos as usual girls. Speak soon luv Mum V xxx
Tuk Tuk What away to travel.. on a tuk tuk. They look such fun. Its a shame you had to see the heart breaking horrors that happened to the country, but it is great the way they have coped and are now getting on with their lives. Must have been quite exciting seeing the temples especially the one where Tomb Raider had been filmed. I can see why the locals were laughing at your Laura Croft pose... only joking they probably didn't know who she was. Ha! Ha!
Shame you were getting hassled by the beggars but they have to survive somehow. At least you were able to go shopping and its sounds like you did enjoy visiting Cambodia... Can't believe they managed to fit 5 on a bike and then seeing 2 people driving a car wow! they can get away with anything over there ... A Country without rules, sounds good to me. hope to speak to you soon luv Mum V xxx
Tubing - What fun Hi Girls sounds like you had great fun tubing down the rapids and stopping when you felt like a drink or play the little games. The pics are great soo glad you had a good time, shame you had to go back to get your passport stamped, the journey sounded horrific. Your hair looks lovely Sam and Lucy I bet you couldn't wait to get it cut and soo cheap, wish I could get it cut for that price! Its nice to know that you would return to Laos if you ever travelled again. Maybe that could be a place for me and your dad to visit in the future :) Luv Mum xxxx
The Memories Sounds like you are having the most amazing time!! You have managed to do so much but gotta say I def preffered the south Island. I think we may have stayed in the Dolphin hostel but not 100% sure!! You got to swim with dolphins too, thats amazing and I can't get over you doing a sky dive!! When I did I had the same feeling too, doesn't help being scared of heights either but was worth it :-)
Look after each other and take care xxx
Howdy Sorry girls just catching up on all the blogs
Wow well done Sam for doing the the skytower bungee - you are bloody brave!! I remember being up there on a very windy day and me being scared of heights was white a s a ghost and feeling rather ill - still an experience. You sound like you are having a fab time and the pictures are great. It refreshes my memory hearing about all the places you have been too!! Although you seem to have seen alot more of the north Island than I did.
Did you see the Black swans in Rotorua??
Anyway take care and enjoy
