After 7 shots, some pills, lots of visa-obtaining legwork (thanks, Dad!), I am finally getting ready to leave on my trip to West Africa. I depart tomorrow. The flight should be a good one, only 14 hours and a single stop in New York with a short layover. No stopping in Paris or Frankfurt or Amsterdam for 7 hours, and no layover in Lagos. So there's only one opportunity for my luggage to get lost, and that's in NY. Let's hope those guys do a good job. God willing, it will be a nice trip.
