I am still reading and love your little anecdotes Roadie. I'm guessing when you move in you'll have the a/c jacked for the whole month of August, just cause you can. Glad to see you're having a great time!
I AM In answer to Adam's question ... I am still reading this AND looking forward to each new entry. It's been fun to follow your travels -- although I cannot say that I envy you w/the heat and humidity --I'm sweating reading it. Take care and look forward to hearing from Chrissy next! Love, A. Cindy
re: Tell the Tailor I second your father's advice -- I arrived in Bangkok after about a month on the road, and had a suit custom tailored. A little more than year (and about 25 pounds later) it doesn't fit quite the same anymore. Maybe that's a sign I need to replace some trips to McDonald's with some trips to the gym?
Lookin' good Glad to see you both still clean up well :) Sounds like you're having the trip of a lifetime! Can't wait to see you both again, safe travels!
Just wanted to say hi and tell you how much i love reading about your trip!!! It sounds like you are having an awesome time. I miss you though, Chicago just isnt the same without you! Don't forget to try and celebrate 4th of July while you are over there :-) love you guys!
checking in Hi to you both,
Just got back from Vancouver BC and had some Thai food, I am sure not as good as the delicacies you and Adam have been sharing. Iam so thrilled you are enjoying an adventure of a life time.
Love you both,
AM
wow! Hi, guys! I'm so enjoying following your trip. Chrissy -- are you really eating some of those things? I find this a real stretch to believe -- my fussy niece???? lol Can't believe that it's been a month already -- wow! I told your dad today that it's hard to fathom this trip -- places that I've never even heard of -- or barely heard about! It's fascinating! Thanks for sharing them with us! Love you! A. Cindy
Khao San Road You guys are going to have a great time on Khao San Road! Make sure you get there at night -- that's when the really great people come out. Also, you're fancy hotel might not tell you this, but I firmly believe that the best way to experience Bangkok is in the back of a Tuk-Tuk. Cheap, fast, easily maneuvered through traffic -- I won't guarantee your safety but you'll have a damn good time!
Impressed Just wanted you to know that I have been following your trip with a great deal of interest. I am so happy for you both that you are able to take this trip. To me it would be a trip of a lifetime. You seem to be experienced travelers and I'm impressed with all the names and places you remember as well as the scenery!!! Enjoy, enjoy as you already have!
My trip pictures I'm impressed with no McDonalds - wet, lost, and exhausted in Paris, my friend and I caved. We didn't want to deal with not speaking French but joke was on us, girl at the counter still couldn't understand us. Here are my trip pictures so far; there's a lot more land than in yours :)

Island Quick correction: This isn't an island, but as you can see from a map, is connected to mainland Thailand. However, you can only reach this part via boat as there are no roads from Ao Nang or Krabi town.
amazing! Your trip looks absolutely AMAZING...I can't believe you saw in person the location of the movie "The Beach"...fyi I read that book and I'm pretty sure there is a marijuana field located somewhere around there...if you are intereseted ; )
Hope the rest of your trip is wonderful!
more info You'll have to be updating this blog more often to maintain interest... like anne said, panang is on algonquin road, we need more info and pictures!
Hey! There is a restaurant called Penang on Algonquin road that serves Malaysian food. I've been meaning to tell you guys about it. We'll have to try it when you get back since I'm sure that you guys will be missing it! jk
