On from Vienna, we found ourselves in the alpine regions of Slovenia, though not before a lovely stop in its capital city, Ljubljana. Ljubljana is quite a small city, it thinks its more of a town really. It is very scenic, and a great place for just wandering around. Not much in the way of sights, so we just soaked up the atmosphere. There is a small castle overlooking the old centre, which we decided to walk up to, instead of taking the funicular. It seemed like a good idea to get our legs ready for all the mountains we plan to climb. The next day headed off to the lakeside village of Bled, where we planned to spend a few days.
