El Salvador is a beautiful place to be from! I absolutely LOVED the people there! I'm hoping to put up more photos...it's often a challenge in the internet cafes, and with the power going out. :)
Hey, is that Hector Ulloa in the blue and yellow shirt? looks like him haha. Whoa, thats awesome to see the chicken coop, they told me about that when I was there, looks like its coming along nicely from the pic.
Comparing Cities Hi April. It is really nice to read your entries you are doing a great job teaching and spreading the good news very admirable. I am originally from El Salvador and I had a good time reading your experiences there I live now in MI and I have visited Detroit several times I find it very noicy too. but I love it here because lots of friendly people. Please write more and post more pictures. Adios
almost done April - you are one VERY special person. You have touched "your" kids in more ways that you can imagine. It is THEIR blessing that they had you for a teacher. I know you had many hard times but you are one strong hardworking gal that does not quit and have become a better person for it. (Not that you were not good prior to this mission you chose. )
So glad to hear that the medical equipment that was sent is what they needed.
Love, hugs and prayers,
Suchitoto and coming back to Honduras It is so good to hear about your travels. Spring has FINALLY sprung here with the last couple of days is high 60's. I look forward to hearing more from you. Love and hugs!!!
so glad to hear about and see your trip April,
I've been praying that God will encourage you and give you help with your teaching. From your list of jewels, it sounds like He's been answering.
It looks like you've had some really fun trips with friends. Beautiful scenery! I hope some day to be able to visit more areas of God's creation.
The kids and my hubby and I have the week off for our spring break. We'll be painting some rooms in our house, playing tennis (still indoors although the snow is melting fast), and continuing to complete scholarship applications to hopefully get more money to pay for college for Hannah.
Miss you, miss NahĂșn and Aura, Marvin, David, Sarai, Daniel, y Guidman, miss Honduras. I'm not sure when I'll return as it's clear I need to focus for the time being on getting my beautiful daughter through college. But, Lord willing, I will return some day. Josh is thinking about going back August 2-12 with the next team from our area.
Love you all! Saludos a todos por favor!

Congratulations on your new position Congratulations. Now you will have your plate full, I assume.
If you remember , my son will be there in June and if he is lucky , you will be his teacher if you are still in third grade . I've been reading your recent blogs and I wanted to tell you that you speak very good spanish already. (I saw your pictures and your greetings in Spanish to your father in a video; good for you).
Rilla my son and I are looking forward to be in Copan. He is so excited and a little nervous . He says that you will help him with his Spanish.
Till next time

LaJoya Hey, Abriela!
So good to see your latest entries. Lord willing, Hannah, and her brother Josh, and I will all see you in a month. we're excited to be coming back to Honduras. Your pix of the clinic are great. God is faithful. It's good to see the progress on the chicken barn and to see the heart machine your mom brought down. Please pray for our team coming down. We still have 2 tix left. Love, prayers, and hugs to Aura and NahĂșn, Marvin, David, Sarai, Daniel, and Guidman! Please also greet the people at the church for me.
Love and hugs and prayers for you, too!
Aunt Betsy, Thank you SO much for your part in the clinic. I was talking to the missionaries and they said that this technology brings the medical abilities of La Joya to a whole new level. The doctors were so excited to have the equipment there! So a great big thank you from everyone! It has been such an encouragement to me to have so many of you become connected with Honduras in this way! Blessings! :)
LaJoya Medical equipment April, I am so happy things went well in LaJoya for you. It is good to know and see the new medical equipment arrived safely. We are pleased to have been included in the purchase of the much need equipment for the LaJoya area clinic. Love and big hugs from Minnesota ---
La Joya clinic I found your blog interesting, as I will be going to Honduras in two weeks, to work in the La Joya clinic also! (I am with the VT medical group that is coming to work in the clinic again!)

I began this blog in 2007 during my year and half of teaching and missions work in Honduras. Before that I'd been to Germany, Brazil, Ecuador and Guatemala. I'm eager to see where all I will end up and the new adventures and opportunities God gives me to experience!
I love seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, learning new languages, but most of all I love meeting new people! It's the friends that I make that t... full info
