What the hell ya doin in Calif? Hey, I did not get the triplicate forms for all friends entering California, dates, places and so on!! What's your route, how far south are coming, and how the heck are you? - Jill
book suggestion I don't know why, Bill, but this blog entry reminded me that i wanted to recommend a book series to you: The Saxon Tales by Bernard Cornwell. Gus got me onto it. I can't believe i'm actually reading the fifth book in the series of this totally swashbuckling medieval warlord saga...battle after battle between the Saxons and the Danes, but it's amazing historical fiction. If you like that sort of thing at all, you'll love this. The first volume is "The Last Kingdom." I'm learning a lot about the male psyche.
Give him a new hat and a plaid shirt and he could be Paul Bunyan. See any extra large blue oxen wandering around? BTW, the barn's ready any time you are, only, skip the teen movie party on Friday night!
Woodsman's Pal Originally issued to GIs in WW2 in the Pacific Theatre, it's basically an oversexed machete. Short, stout, fits nicely in pannier bag. Pictured by fire.
Awesome! Hey Bill, Glad to hear from you. Looks like nice country and weather! My bike is presently residing in the garage as we prepare for basement reno. I am going to Algonquin this wkd for a few days, but want to bring the boats, so no bike again. Keep me posted. I refuse to give up on the bike thing till we get to do a ride together!
Be safe.

Blessings Reverend, I am trusting all is sunny and curvy in your world. Though I pray for good roads and warm breezes for you I can't help to curse a tad. I am missing being out there with you... Sadness has crept into my life and the only thing that keeps the light in my heart is your blogs.... So where are they? Where are you?
Awaiting the next...
Rev Chuck
