CAUGHT UP AT LAST I thought I had done something to upset you both when the bloggs stopped coming. At last after a few busy weeks at the start of the year (pesky auditors) I have been able to catch up with your travels.
It still sounds like you are having the most wonderful trip. Carry on enjoying yourself.
Lots of love to you both
Ann xxxx
Yet more booze Of course we don't drink much at all on this trip we just don't think you will be interested in hearing when we stay in and are well behaved!!!
wine nomenclature No - Sauvvie is Sauvignon Blanc, which is what the Marlborough region is famous for. Like Wales and Leeks. Then there's "Chard" (Chardonnay)
wine nomenclature Is that what they call Cabernet Sauvignon in NZ? I know they're living upside down in that part of the world, but a Cab is a Cab is a Cab. Sauvvie indeed - is there no end to this attack upon good French:)
Competition Ahh, but did Paul take part? - I still carry the scars of such a competition held in the Aber students' common room in 1952 - these things can very easily get out of control after a scrumpy drinking session.
Communication Re: "Our inability to communicate. Even when our Spanish did get a little better our pesky English accents prevented us being understood!" -
Are you sure it's just your accent? Perhaps we need to draft an international copy of the Victionary?!
SMILE I was lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay of biscay a year ago. If you think back I bet you were smiling when you saw them. We were told this by the marine observation crew when we saw them that everyone smiles when they see them and it was true when you looked around the boat everyone was smiling.
Sounds like we are sharing the same sort of weather at the moment, but I hope the sun will be shining for you again soon.
Take care and continue having fun
Love Ann xxxx
wine etc Where are you putting all those botts of wine you're accumulating - I see no signs of a small lorry - AH! you're drinking them all I'll be bound!
Great whites are no problem, just give it a bump on its snout and it will go away (sometimes taking your lower half with it). Seems to work quite well on my TV
Weather much the same here, cold and wet, but WHOAA it's your summer - oh what a shame :)
Halerious HAR HAR you funny kids, looks good! I`ve got some secret information of spots in Rotorua from a local if you want them, have you been yet?
Happy new year, love D x x x x
Happy New Year...make it an even crazier one than the last one! Wishing you an amazing year and more of those fantastic adventures around the world! I was in N.Zealand and Australia in October/November and had a brilliant time. In N.Z. spend more time in the Sth island rather than the north -much prettier , and be prepared to go over-budget with all the crazy activities one can do there! You only live once so go for it!

Holiday?
I'm outraged to hear that you think you're on holiday. Stop this behaviour immediately and get back to work.
