Wowzers, it has been awhile since I've updated ya'll on my adventures! I found my checkcard once I made it to Cologne where I had the time of my life. My host David was highly busy with making artists famous (he owns his own record producing company), but still found time to show me around the town. I had some troubles adjusting to their public transportation, but it all worked out in the end. Hello All! Life has taken it's twists & turns recently, but somehow I safely made it to Köln in one piece! Well, I'm actually staying with this amazing guy, David, right outside of Cologne in a prompt town called Hürth. Just a 15 minute tram ride to the heart of Cologne, which makes it perfect for me to progress in my new novel, ''Twilight.'' Hallo all, I am just wrapping up another day in Berlin. We went to visit the Reichstag today which is where all the Parliment sittings occur. There was a lot of security clearance for a rather boring tour and an awfully rude tour guide. We got to visit one of the many Holocaust memorials. I am quickly giving a recap during the intermisison of the EuroCup final...Germany vs. Spain! This city goes nutz for Futbol!!! They blocked off the entire downtown district by the Brandenburg Gate (which I visited yet again today). My class officially started today (Sunday) and we went for an extensive 8 hour walk. I will have to second guess my choice of flip flops for next time. We checked out a museum and took a nap. Had a bit of a rough start yesterday...was packing before work and could not find my one and only check card. Turns out Tuesday night got a little too crazy and I left it at the bar. Despite all the minor panic, I flew out of Cedar Rapids on time to Chicago to D.C. to Brussels, Belgium, to Berlin! Now I am awaiting check-in time at 2 pm (have been waiting for about 4 hours now).
