Its a funny story on how we decided to go on vaction to the Grand Cayman Island. When I get a little down time at work I like to look for web cams. I found the web cam at the Royal Palms on Seven Mile Beach. The Royal Palm is a grill and bar that caters to the cruise crowds. I watched this web cam at work everyday for 4 years. I was finally able to reserve a timeshare on Grand Cayman. We flew from DFW to Georgetown via Atlanta and rented a car. Our car was a LH steer even though they drive on the LH side of the road. It was a little difficult to see down the road but we managed. We drove directly to the Morritt's resort on the far North East ... read more

If you are looking for vacation for everyone, Durango Colorado is your place. You can go from desert to Mountain top in less than an hours drive. We left Texas and drive to Durango via Albuquerque. The drive from Albuquerque to Durango is amazing. You skirt the Santa Fe National Forest and drive through several Indian Reservations. The mountains and rock formations in this area are beautiful. The colors range from tan to red to a deep purple. This was a great surprise that we did not expect. When we arrived in Durango we hit the Walmart for groceries and headed north out of town to Purgatory where we stayed for the week. Purgatory Village by itself was full of activities. Of corse it is a snow ski resort by Winter, but in the Summer they ... read more

In June of 2010 my family and I had one of our greatest adventures. We began by flying to Las Vegas and stayed at the Tahiti Village. It was an awesome place that had two giant swimming pools. One of these pools was a lazy river. This place was very family oriented and was a super place to stay. We then drove over the Hoover Dam and down the historic Route 66 to the Cavern Inns that is located just outside of Peach Springs, AZ. The Cavern Inns was nothing special, but it was the closest motel to the trailhead to Supai. We arrived at the trail head at 6:30 am to get an early start before the sun came up, and hiked 8 miles to Supai. The scenery was unbeleivable. As we walked you see ... read more

I thought that I would tell you a little about our trip to Banf National Park. We flew from Texas and 100 degree weather and landed in Calgary with rain and 50 degree weather. We rented a car and headed out to Harvey Heights. This very small dot on the road is between Canmore and the Banf National Park Gate. We stayed at the Banf Boudary Lodge. This place was very clean and quiet. It had a nice indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, and work out room. I would stay there again. Banf National park in incredable. Colorado is a beautiful state, but it has nothing on this place. Every direction you look you see a beautiful backdrop. The scenery is not the only attraction. There is wildlife around every corner. We saw mule deer, Elk, ... read more
