5th August 2012

Hi Rosie and Howard Well done, you inspired us so we went to the canals of Venice, Italy last week. Very very hot and now back to rainy sunshine britain and a few pounds heavier. All that wine and pasta. Catch up soon Pauline and Paul.xx

What an adventure!
Welcome home, I've loved the blogs and the vicarious living! Would be nice to catch up for a glass of wine or two to hear all about it but as you arrive back we are about to set off! See you soon!

Dashing home!
Can understand the allure of a hot shower and bigger bed, but have you considered the need to tell lovely daughter and son-in-law your possible decision so they can start the in depth clean?! Only joking Helen and Ben, not forgetting cute little Phoebe xx

Catching up!
Hi It was great seeing you last night - you both looked amazingly well and sunburned although I have a feeling it may wash off when you have your first bath. Can we go for a drive/sail/motor next time?!

Trousers
Hi Rosie, it has to be trousers I'm afraid but the rest of the week looks a little warmer and more sun, although the wind is picking up. Oh and no coming back early, the estate agents are still showing people around so we don't want you muddying the waters. I would like to add that I also visited last night! Not for the first time the taxi driver has been missed from your blog. In fact I may start up my own taxi drivers blog... and not mention you in it! Love Ben (favourite/only son in law)

All aboard, GB sailing team in Weymouth go for golds
Hi Sis and Howard, just read your last two blogs. Now the weather is so nice rumour has it you are going to do another circuit. Have you ate any of Howard's catches? Just watching tjhe cycling road race and shouting on Mark Cavendish - could this be our first gold? Enjoy your last few days messing about on the river - are you looking forward to a deep, warm bath at home? Love Phil, Ange and girls xxxxx

Finally getting to write to you
Hi Rosie and Howard - thank you for your blogs and apologies for not replying to you sooner. Been away at two family weddings . . . one in Ibiza and one in Scotland! Anyway, back now and delighted to read about all your experiences albeit a little wet in the beginning. I'm glad the sun is shining now and making your adventure rather more pleasant and all what it should be . . . enjoy and may the sun keep shining x x x x x

Can't believe it!
Can't believe, on our way back from Essex today after visiting Malcolm's Mum we went the back way to avoid the snarled up M25 and M4 and went through Goring. We stopped to admire the view and wondered if you were anywhere nearby. We only missed you by a day!! What an absolutely beautiful part of the country - did you have a drink in The Swan? We are definitely going back there sometime soon. So glad you are now having some decent weather - you may come back with a tan instead of rust after all! Enjoy the final days of you trip. Love Charmaine x

Hurrah!
So glad the sun has finally made an appearance, bet you're glad you didn't come home now! I am now feeling very envious as there is nothing like being on the river in glorious sunshine. Enjoy xx p.s. I'm starting Fifty Shades today.

meeting up
Could you fit us in on Monday, just before your return to dry land and birthday celebrations I think?!
24th July 2012

Glad you didn't take my advice and stuck with it!
Now this is what it's all about, how blissfullly perfect to be on the boat in such weather. We've just spents 3 days on a proper english seaside jaunt to Bournemouth and we are all pink from the sun, lovely! Not you too, I read in the times that Fifty Shades was the fastest selling novel 'ever' !?!, but their theory was the porn was only there to give some 'respectablity' to reading what is effectively Mills & Boon???? Anyway, haven't been tempted to try it yet but seem to be in a minority of one! Glad you're having a great time, hope the weather lasts. Cynthia

Date to meet
Dear Rosie and Howard, Thought of you today as the sun shone. Tonight the weather man said the jet stream will finally be moving to its proper location at the end of the week!!!!! and normal weather will be resumed Looks as if we will be venturing to Watlington on Saturday and to bike ride from Thame on Sunday so we wondered if a Monday visit for coffee/lunch might be possible. Will ring you at the weekend to find out if this is possible and where we could meet you. Love from Sarah and Mick

Hang on in there....
The weather is supposed to be improving, so if you can stick it out for a little longer you could be in your bikini by the weekend! And hey, with Fifty Shades to keep you occupied, you'll be glad you have an excuse to stay indoors - my copy is arriving this weekend from my sister (via Mum, who has been instructed not to read it, but if she does, not to tell her daughters!). We're visiting Windsor on Saturday, so will have just missed you. Keep blogging - if you can put down Fifty Shades! x

Hi Ships Mate & Captain H. Hope that you have had some better weather today. Hang in there I am sure you will get better days ahead. What an adventure you are having! Hope we can catch up with you at some point soon... we have visitors arriving for 10 days or so... Julie & Ron

Few observations
Hi Glad you are both still getting on together, must be the naked crib! Just a word of warning though - be very careful reading Fifty Shades on a boat, what if it, you know?! Very much like caravan s__ I imagine! Would love to catch up with you but what with Phil working every day it may be tricky. Did suggest that he perhaps picks me up from work one day and we head to you, stay in nearby hostelry and spend next day together. Will keep you updated, if a; you are still on board and b; you let us know where you will be. That's all for now x

Looks brighter over there...
Hi sis and H, we admire your perserverance. Should be drier and warmer (humid) tomorrow Tues. On the 5 day forecast there was even talk of the gulf stream moving north by the weekend - so perhaps two reasons to be cheerful. Another plus is that you could be marooned in worse places than Bray/Windsor - another silver lining? I am trying. All ok here but girls fed up with no sunbathing opportunities. Keep going, this could become a new olympic sport - marine endurance. Take care, love all xxxxx

book choice
Just hope you remembered to pack the necessary equipment to accompany the book! What boat will you be looking at? One with a tanning salon, washing machine, tumble drier and power shower I trust. Just remember you will have stories to top all of our rainy day tales! Ali coming home tomorrow for a few days, probably with a duvet full of washing-when does that stop?! Don't think we'll make it to Bray, however, we will see you soon, promise. xx

Rock that boat!
50 shades of grey will keep you warm and get your little world rocking! Enjoy X
