WHILE YOU ARE IN NICARAGUA REMEMBER JOSEPH THAT YOUR COUSINS SANTOS (RODRIGO, CRISTINA AND GABRIELA) COMO FROM A NICARAGUAN FATHER, AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY LIVES OVER THERE, IF YOU ARE MOVING TO A FAMILY'S HOUSE, LET US KNOW HOW IT GOES FOR YOU, BECAUSE IF YOU NEED ANYTHING THERE IS ALWAYS THE POSSIBILITY OF PUTING YOU TOGETHER WITH THE SANTOS' FAMILY.... JUST LET ME KNOW, AND I'LL CONTACT YOU. THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE. ENJOY NICARAGUA. SAN JUAN DEL SUR IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO KNOW, AS WELL AS THE OTHER MANY MORE THAT NICARAGUA CAN OFFER YOU. TELL US ALL ABOUT IT. YES, ROADS ARE A REAL BACKACHE TRIAL, AND IT MAKES FLAT TIRES A COMMON SITE THROUGH ALL ROADS. YOU ARE TROPICALIZING PRETTY FAST, EVEN YOUR ACCENT SEEMS TO BE SOUNDING LIKE A NATIVE.
WE ALL WISH YOU THE VERY BEST THROUGH ALL CENTRAL AMERICA, YOU ARE ALMOST DONE, WE HAVE READ ALL YOUR TRAVEL BLOGS, AND YOU HAVE ALMOST GONE THROUGH A CHAPTER OF SURVIVOR IN YOUR REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. KEEP IT UP!!! MARGUERITE

Ouch! Hi Joseph,
I'm just joining your blog and I love your first Guatemalan experience. Be careful out there! Luckily you have some fabulous cousins in Guatemala who have your back I'm sure. And it sounds like you handled the whole thing gracefully...

Your blog entries are fascinating...we are so glad we get a little window into your experiences. My ESL students are from El Salvador and Guatemala. everything I'm glad to see that you've been having a fun time Joe. How Columbia and El Salvador are even better. Great pictures by the way. A lot better than the shit storm that's taken over this place. Funny stories too. I took German for 6 years and I'd probably make mistakes constantly if I went to Germany. Anyway, happy V-Day and hope you have a fun time the rest of the way. Cya next year!
Scott
