Love reading your blog - From: Honduras!
Dear Joseph, Reading your blog is great fun and very interesting. You have a wonderful style of including lots of info and a couple of good chuckles. All seems to be going pretty well and I hope that's still the case. Your language proficiency alone will always be a terrific asset, and your unique experiences will help to continue your formation as a person. But you are already a pretty neat human being, so always remember to stay true to your core values and core. While I could go on and ON - I will stop there! :-> All is well here and summer continues to fly by. The weather is muggy, the Red Sox are struggling, but life on the Cape is simply lovely! People kindly ask for Joseph updates and (more kindly) listen to my chatter. We miss you madly but are very proud of all your hard work. I'll look forward to your next blog. Have fun, stay healthy and know I hold you in my heart. Much love, Mom xxxxx ooooo

Rock on, Joseph! - From: Tales from Talanga
Sounds like things are continuing to go well, Joseph! Keep on keepin' on over there - I'm pretty sure that flexibility and persistence are two of the most critical attributes to a successful PC experience. Sounds like you've got both on your side right now. :) Way to go! Thinking of you here in sunny Seattle!

Greetings! - From: Tales from Talanga
Joe, Thanks for keeping me on your mail list. It is really exciting to hear what you've been up to. I admire what you've been doing and your commitment to stay with it. We are trying hard to build up our immersion program - would love to pick your brain sometime. If you're home, it would be great to get you in front of our students to share your experiences. Going to the IFT this year at Ft. Benning - it will be the last one. Hope you're well. Mike McGonagle

Great to hear from you. Was a hot weekend on Cape Cod - Larry & Maureen Lawler came down for a visit. Tough week for the Red Sox - lost 4 straight to the Yankees and then lost 2 out of 3 to Texas - they are going to have to work real hard to make the wild card. In addition, a pretty much unheard of thing happened - Tiger Woods blew the lead in the PGA tournament and lost to somebody named Y E Yang. Good luck with the tree.

Dearest Joseph, I always like to read your whereabouts, and I do follow you, and through your accounts of stories, I relate to the times Rodrigo my son was unsure what was next while starting with the Air Force. As of now, try if possible to put November 21st apart...if you can.....Cristina is getting married here in Guatemala. Let us know your chances of being able to attend, hopefully, you will Love, and always keep me posted, I enjoy reading your adventures. Marguerite

Hey, tigere! I hope you are enjoying Sto. Domingo! If you have the time and/or the money to travel a bit, check Samaná on the Atlantic, or Sosúa (4 hours by bus) or Cabarete; it's a different sight and feeling of the country. Also, have you read "The Feat of the Goat" or "The Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao"? Together with "In the Time of the Butterflies", they are great introductions to Dominican history! Stay cool!

Hi Joseph! So glad we are on your blog list! We received both of your entries and they are fascinating. So glad the first part of your trip has been such a wonderful experience. Just being part of your cousin's wedding sounds like an amazing peek into the best of another culture. Good luck with the start of your program. We'll look forward to your next blog entry. love, aunt Pat & uncle Tom

Good to see your doing well Joe. And the Disco tech story was hilarious, I can picture it perfectly. I hope you showed them some of the ground slapping dance moves too, that really needs to be passed around. Have a good one and keep us updated.

Phus, Maybe drinking like a new england fish is not the greatest idea. The cultural equivalent to having an ice cube thrown in your face is having your butt kicked by an angry mid-westerner in Syracuse. Let's try to avoid tumbling downstairs and drinking the country out of rum... shall we? Funny blog. I am teaching people how to access it. I'll email you some helpful directions that might save others some time! Abbey, Q, Duff and others say "hi" from Seattle. - Marth
