Dear Ones, Well we have started into the holiday season already! I say this only since I work at Sears in the tool department and they have been playing holiday music since November 1st! Oh well, so is the world of retail sales. It seems with the elections over now, that things are mellowing out a bit here in New York; I am sure that the entire country can take a collective sigh of relief now that the craziness of the election year is over. Whether the candidate that you wanted to win did or not, our country is still the greatest on the face of the planet and we are a resilient people no matter what is thrown at us. One of the biggest determining factors for our decision to go out as Way Disciples ... read more

God bless you all! I first wanted to say that having this way to communicate to all of our friends and family has been fantastic! All of your responses of love and encouragement have been so great. The kids love to hear from their grandparents especially and Clara and Sam now have e-mail addresses and have communicating faithfully to them. As you have heard, we moved into our beautiful home on Isle of Pines road; it has been a glorious Fall with the tree colors and the weather actually being in the mid 50s and sunny so far.........The calm before the storm?!?!?!?!? What is amazing is that we moved into our new home, I secured my job at Sears, and we got the kids into school all within 10 days of being here! Matthew 6:33 says: ... read more

Hello all. Well, we have our new home and address as of Friday night: 3217 Isle of Pines Baldwinsville, NY 13027 I will enclose some pictures of the area with this posting also; the area is absolutely beautiful! The trees are starting to turn and it is everything and more when it comes to the Northeast and the fall colors. Marsha and I have always wanted to visit this area during this time of year, so another need met. You will notice in the pictures that we already have a house full of furniture! Some of the people here that attend our fellowships were moving and gave us almost all their furniture and almost everything from their kitchen. God has completely met our need for everything! I have my employment now also; I was hired on ... read more

Hello all. We are alive and well and in Lincoln, Nebraska tonight; for being on the road for over 2 weeks now, we are doing great! The kids have become real road warriors and our time on the road has been profitable even if they are not in school. For example: 1. We visited the New Mexico Natural History Museum in Albuquerque for a day and the kids learned alot about dinosaurs and much of the Southwest's natural history. (they had some really great exhibits, and this was part of Sam's 6th birthday present) 2. They are learning a great deal about the different states in our huge country and all of the culture that goes with each state. 3. They learned alot about caring for horses while in Colorado. 4. We have passed many (working) ... read more

Hi all. Well we finished our marathon drive yesterday from Albuquerque, NM (about 9 hours of driving) to reach my Aunt & Uncle's place in Livermore, CO. It's about 40 minutes northwest of Fort Collins, CO. A special thanks to Dave and Lynette for letting us stay here while they are staying at our home in University Place until sometime in April of next year. We had a really awesome time in Albuquerque with our friends Darin and Rochelle Sand, Bruce and Valerie Altman, and Wendy Vander Aa. Their hospitality and love were very evident the whole time we were there. Valerie set us up at her apartment complex's "corporate apartment" which was really nice and like staying at a home, which had a washer and dryer, which was a real blessing after being on the ... read more

Hi all. We made it to Boise Idaho today; not a very long drive, about 3.5 hours but we did stop at the Snake River and took some pictures and enjoyed one of the stops along the Oregon trail. Weather has been in the mid 80s everyday which makes for great driving. Included are some pictures of our travels so far. Love to all. The Perrys... read more

Hi all. We left today around 9:40am and arrived at our Best Western hotel around 6pm; they have a nice restaurant, and an even nicer heated pool which we enjoyed tonight. We drove a total of around 430 miles today. Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon were beautiful today; weather was cloudless and in the 80s all day. We plan to spend some time in Boise, Idaho tomorrow and then onto Camp Gunnison Colorado by Thursday. Not sure if I will get any Internet service once we leave Idaho so I will communicate at least tomorrow. I don't have any pictures to share today; actually I am just too tired to go down to the car and get the camera! Love to all. Jim, Marsha, Clara, Sam, and Hannah.... read more
