Manikin Pis I just returned from Brussels and had the opportunity to visit the Manikin Pis. Our guide, who is very knowledgable, confirmed the story about the young child extinguishing a fire that could have potentially grown in size, endangering the city.

Is There A Legend? Hi.
I'm writing a book about European myths and legends and I'm having a bit of a problem with the Belgian Manikin Pis. According to one story, he once put out a fire, saving much of Brussell, but others claim that he's just a small statue.
Could you clear this out for me?
Thanks.

Where is this wonderful hostal? We are going to Granada for a few days in a week and a half but HAVN'T got a room yet!!! I've been searching on the net but the nice hotels are amazingly expensive! Could you please tell us the name of the hostal and any other info you may have on it??? Prices, what it looks like, how are the staff etc... We would be very grateful! Thanks! Hannah
yeah don\\\'t worry i\\\'m loving it here... gonna stay a week at least.. and yes i\\\'ll mabey leave amsterdam to see some other stuff like the flowers...and the red light at nite is perhaps to crazist thing i\\\'ve ever seen
Beer in movie theaters? But don't you have to get up and pee a lot then? Anyway....I know it will be hard to tear yourself away from all the delights of Amsterdam, but any chance you can do one of those tulip tours? I've seen photos of them and it looks so beautiful. Glad you're having fun....
Amster- Amster- shh-shh-shh! man, you sure are hopping around in this trip! i spent a week in amsterdam and never made it to a museum! i'm jealous. i was sleeping on a floor in a full hostel in the red light district! that is the greatest place to people-watch! be sure and get one of those chocolate covered waffles from a street vendor - man those were good! also, over in the touristy shopping area by amsterdam centraal i had the best vanilla ice cream of my life! come to think of it, there was good food everywhere there!
have fun! i've been keeping up and being jealous!

I loved Barcelona, one of my favorite cities. I definitly suggest getting out and enjoying the city at night, there is so much to enjoy beyond the bar at the hostel (although convenient)
Go to the mall at the end of Las Ramblas, there are actually clubs inside. The random allyways also have cool hidden bars.
Wow...Tuesday? Switzerland? A lot must have changed since we spoke yesterday. Sounds like the right amount of sleep has improved your outlook entirely. Sounds like you're having fun. Hope you have the time to sit down and add a lot of details to these blogs sometime soon. Have fun!
Sounds like fun Glad you are enjoying the trip. I have always like Toledo....touristy, but charming. Look at the El Greco museum there...something we missed in '01. Well, let us know how much further along Sagrada Familia is now when you get to Barcelona.
So I'm at someone's house the other night and above their couch they've got a print of "The Garden of Earthly Delight" by Hieronymus Bosch. And I think to myself, "That bastard Pat is in Madrid and can see the original from the 1400s in person! Damn I'm jealous!"
Sounds like the trip is crazy so far! Splurge and get a camera! We need pics! Remember, if you need space, you can post them on the SixQ.Org Gallery! I added a link in the travel section to your blog too...
Have fun!
I'm officially jealous.... Sounds like you're having a blast. You stayed up until 2 am with no sleep? Yikes! Allstate party went well. Dad and I going to Kings playoffs Sun. and Tues. Well, drink a little sangria for me...
Have fun! This seems like a fun way to keep everyone updated....wish they had these blogs before. Postcards are a pain and they never get there in time. I like the pics...just wish my flowers showed up in the photo of home...I'd like to show them off.
Love you....have a good trip.
