Thanks for the Blog Comment Hey. I hope you and Bob are doing well. It was fun to read your comment on my blog. I will be back soon...the question is will I finish completing my honey-do list before I don the clerical shirt again. Can't wait to catch up with you soon!

Just wanted you to know that you are thought about often......Frankie is doing a wonderful job with our music! and Pastor Seth...is overflowing with the "spirit"! " Traveling "with you and the family has been so enjoyable! See you soon! Beverly Orr
Just got caught up I've just now taken time to catch up on all the blogging. As I read through the adventures in Rome, I could picture it all again. I spent 3 days there several years ago when I went for my sister's wedding. I wish I had had more time in the city - spent most of my time in & around St. Peter's. The incredible hugeness of the space was overwhelming to me. We, too, got to go into the under-croft, to worship in one of the small chapels. The artwork on the walls down there was also amazing. I can't wait to hear all the stories and see the pictures. You are missed, but we are all so exciting that you are able to travel, learn, grow and rest.
I ended up with some of your "volunteer" tomato plants. They are producing, but not quite ripe enough to harvest and eat. Soon.
Thanks for taking the time to blog. I won't wait so long to check for entries. See you in a couple of months.

Optical Illusion Had this photo analyzed. Seems to be there is an optical illusion at work and the fish is actually only 10 inches. ;-) Hope you're getting much deserved rest and relaxation...
Enjoy the PNW Hey Pastor Webb,
I grew up in Marin County (SF Bay Area) and one a family trip we went through Oregon, visited the Olympics (also WA), as well as Victoria, BC (I need to explore Canada more). Part of my Navy service was in Bremerton. I am so glad you chose this wonderful piece of God’s world. I missed things like Rainbow trout and BIG mountains like Mt. Rainer.
I helped Eileen by starting the stripping process on the wooden chair in the downstairs men’s room today. She seemed pleased and that pleases me. I’m also glad I made time to do something for the church. It’s hard because I have to start making money.
I told Pastor Seth and his wife that he’s doing so well he has attained what I call ‘theocratic genius’. I hope it all doesn’t go to his head. He seems pretty happy being in command (the earthly, and interim, leader) of Asheville’s most prestigious and God-filled church.
We miss you and I look forward to you and Pastor Seth both being in the sanctuary again. At the same time I think you know how many people there are that take care of the church so you can feel like your sabbatical is something to just savor and you and the Webb family deserve that. I’m sure that people needing your ministry miss your presence most, but we know you are still with us in sprit.
Best wishes,
Grant Millin
I could be jealous. We're sweatin' with 90 degrees in A'ville this week, while you're all bundled up for snow and the cold pacific. Great pics! Looking forward to reading about the adventures. Hoping they were all carefree and peaceful.
I am an ELCA pastor going on my first sabbatical this summer. I'd like to keep my congregation, St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Asheville, NC, updated on my travels during this time.... full info
