in your element hey dave! got an offer accepted on a house! (ditched the grave yard after all!). early days but it is just outside Ross on Wye.
your sky, water and earth adventures look awesome- both jealous! xx
From all of us I have been getting emails of complaints to the lack of blogs and I am not responsible anymore. So from all of us: why are we waiting, why are we waiting, oh why are we waiting!!!!! Sing along now!
BigBro (aka competition wnner) Rob - Can't believe you are losing at pool to Dave.. He's my pool bitch! - just ask him...If you lose at crazy golf - may as well come straight back home.
Bon Voyage! Gemma! I'm so glad you're coming home. Maybe now you'll stop trying to kill yourself, be it by falling off a mountain or through a heart atttack from testing yourself so much. You made me nervous with this one. Seriously though, good on you for trying to conquer your fears. You never cease to amaze me. To Davey boy, good luck and have a great time! I know you'll love it and make the most of the experience. I look forward to the blogs with anticipation... And don't forget your special mission in Taupo. Over and out! X
That's just mean! Well what can I say, my heart was all a flutter and then I find out it's about rock carvings - Gemma you are so mean! I am now in a deep state of despair crying into my soup on my lunch break. Boo hoo!
well done! Gem you have been so brave once again, proving that if we face our fears anything is possible!
Good luck Dave on your travels, keep blogging, informed us of where's good so we can plan our next trip. Lots of hugs x
Koru crazy woman! Nice to see you finally found a Koru worth photographing Gemma - people would not believe tha amount of times we played spot the Koru for her, only to be told it was not good enough when we did! Oooh, I'm making you sound like a hard woman to please aren't I. Anyway I can't talk with my old waterfall obsession. Glad to see you have found another to add to the collection! Anyway on with work - by the way not managed to call Skydive place about my DVD yet, hope they don't look at you strangely!
dolphins What an amazing experience! The dolphins look so beautiful. We all arrived safely home, the jet lag has hit us and we just want to sleep all the time - not looking forward to Monday -back to work! How's my little lambs doing - Jack, Jill and Troy - no blowing up I hope?
Jumping Going for a jump has a different meaning to what it did in our day. Jumping twice just means you are twice as mad as we thought, and thats pretty mad.
Are you sure that your HOSTEL manager is not a skiving manager when you said skidiving manager. We have a queue of people at this end with a selection of pens and pretty colouring pencils. All they ask is an hours physio in return. Soon pay off your debts. I once did a years financial accounts for a hostel in return for one nights bed, and I thought that was silly. You beat me my a mile. Parental Retraining awaits in Feb. Meanwhile continue to enjoy without getting jumpy.
Night Sky Would much prefer they did a talk with the real sky overhead instead of the virtual sky as it will be in 2059 etc. Didnt know Simon Shearing was with you. Ask him if we get a discount on our next Shearings trip. Looking at the Ugandea Gorillas at the moment (in a brochure to clarify ambiguity).
Note you stayed at a 5 star hotel. Was this because it had no roof and it was a partly cloudy night. I think your bank balances will soon be firmly pointing at youth hostels or down and under and out hostels.
bids, jabs and jobs hey both- great bloggin! we put an offer in on the graveyard but it was repossessed (no pun intended but hopefully not an omen!) then the offer was refused by the building society who now own the house. so put a higher offer in today but no news. went to a village event in the hall that would be at the end of our 'garden'. It was called the 'late summer produce show' and it was SO DIBLEY! There were the usual jam, flower andheaviest marrow competitions, but also categories entitled 'best animal made out of fruit and veg' which had me in tears, and a classic that reminded me of hellgill new year's flap-a-fish and ping-pong ducks (family joke viewers)...'best decorated wooden spoon'- hope to get the house even just to clean up on the village trophies, as the efforts were little more than cooking spoons, felt tip and more glue than sequins.
anyway, dinyar into his second week of new job now and still falling asleep at 7pm (you've got all that to come!) and mum's been in touch to see if we had rabies jabs- we did- i think it was a series of 2. we also had japanise encephalitis jabs (series of three i think) and not just for Japan. can't remember what we had for which country so best bet is to get a pharmacist to look it up and refer you to a local doctor with a travel clinic who'll charge you on the spot but probably fit you in quickly. World Health Org website (WHO.org or similar) has latest news on requirements. One to watch is some countries need evidence of yellow fever jab so make sure you get a certificate/card signed by the doctor who gives it, if it turns out you need it.Will try and dig out more about the jabs we had next weekend if i kept it... love to both for now xxx
Pictures lovely pictures Much better. Lots of lovely piccies. Feel like I'm out there with you again. Dave's minty balls are fine - just watch out for his cheesy ones. Waterfall looks beautiful. Puts me in mind of a shampoo advert with all the girls posing in front of it.....
So that's what mean't! Happy NZ Sunday morning all.
Elinor's Dad knew a Kiwi at college in Halifax. He regularly called him a "Whuck whart". He's had to wait 40 years to find out what that 'old traditional Maouri greeting' really meant. We love the photo's and commentaries but it's late at night here so we'll send a more considered viewpoint tomorrow, Sunday.
Pictures Please I think I can speak for us all at this end when I say - MORE PICTURES PLEASE.....Just because your having a good time doesn't mean to say you can just neglect your duties to the blog site. All this rubbish about not being near a suitable place to upload them etc etc - it just doesn't wash....
Parachute?! Elinor winning a sporting event....what a surprise! I can't wait to see the photos of Elinor jumping out of a plane - am assuming there was a parachute?!
