on the road Do you want to tell me that Daniel ate a witchetti grub? Feeding rock wallabies is indeed hard to beat for children (and their parents I suppose).Did you have electricity in these isolated "resorts" or could you not even have the heater on? Surely it must get better by now. Today arrived Maarten's parcel by registered mail. Better late than never. All good here. Dad and I raked the leaves from your lawn today. Plenty of compost! Enjoy the rest of your trip. With lots of love from dad and mum. Hugs for the boys.
Haha!!No, it was only a pretend witchetty grub (real ones aren't that big). Thank you for raking our leaves and looking after the place, sorry I missed the camellias :( We've had power at most sites and now the weather is so warm we don't need the heater (but I'm still wearing the socks!) All still going well, kids are in bed, just waiting on the kettle boiling so Maarten and I can enjoy a coffee with our butterscotch pudding (my first attempt at baking dessert in the oven). We're off to Kakadu tomorrow. Our love to all xxx
Nice to see you've got 3 dish-washers to help you out. The wallaby feeding sounds like it was really worth it, and the photo of the wallaby and joey is so adorable. Hope you're keeping well. xo
What's this??!? There's actually WATER in central Australia?? :P Lovely scenery. I especially loved the picture of the boys skimming rocks. Also really liked the Lift Um Foot. Little nuggets like that make it that extra bit special :)
Lucky you have a sense of humour Angela. That sure comes in handy. After this you will be a seasoned campmother and will have seen it all. Truly beautiful scenery. Say hi to the boys from us. mum xxx
uluru lovely photos and commentary. I am so glad all is going well. The temp in Alice Springs is 19'C today. Should be nice. Still all quiet here. The flowering camelias are beautiful. Lots of love, Mum
Yay, this post has appeared Looks great! But the important question: did you find any opals??? :P
Mental note to self: go to Coober Pedy for pizza. Also, love the pic of all the boys in the Old Timers Mine. Lovely stuff!
Hi Krista,
Sorry, just realised I can reply to comments. Yes! the boys found opals. Matthew's prize possesion is an opalised sea shell he found in the driveway of the place we were staying on the day we were leaving! :)
Found you Glad it is going so well. I specially like the family photo at Uluru. We can only see your entry of the 9th with 4 photos. Keep it up. We love to follow your adventure. All quiet here. Love you all heaps, mum
