A short tutorial for those of you who are unfamiliar with this kind of thing...
To see a full blog entry make sure to click on "view full blog" at the end of the partial blogs located on the main page. You can also access older blog entries (once they exist) by clicking on the title of the entry that you want to read.
To view the pictures in a bigger format and with some information about them, simply click on one of the photos and a slidesow should come up for you to scroll through.
To view a video you simply have to click on the video icon in the blog entry and it should pop up. You'll be prompted to press play. If you cannot access the videos or photos, check that you are not blocking the pop ups in the yellow bar that comes up in the top of your browser window.
Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page. Sometimes the formatting gets a little weird and things get put in odd places on the page.
We hope this helps.
And until we come home (for those of you counting the days... ie: Mother)...

We are in our final hours here in Luang Prabang, Laos and it has been quite an experience getting here. It has also been something trying to get to computers that will allow us to upload photos as well as finding the time to sit down and write. We started in another internet place earlier (probably our 3rd one today as we have been doing photos and booking places to stay thoughout the day) but had to leave to find a better place again. I am in charge of uploading photos and generally dealing with getting them organized. It is one of the few duties that have been given to me for this trip as James has,

We were looking forward to - for the second time - our first experience on the air-conditioned sleeper car from Lopburi to Chiang Mai. It didn't disappoint. It was comfortable. We slept. For whatever reason my gastro-intestinal eruptions subsided for the journey, which is fortunate due to the state of Thai train toilets. Our first impression of Chiang Mai was how much easier it was going to be. Considering our past couple of days and our current beleaguered state it was a relief. There were restaurants with signs in English that surely weren't fish-on-a-stick charring Thai food stalls or Kentucky

CAN YOU COUNT THE MONKEYS?*** LINDSAY Once we left the islands, we boarded a boat to Chumphun and then a night train to Ayuthaya. We had booked an air conditioned 2nd class sleeper car because it was only a little more expensive than the fan one that was so hot the last time. This time however, we got an sir con car with a broken air system and as it was meant to have AC the windows were screwed shut and

LINDSAY We got to the train station in plenty of time to catch our train to the beach so we decided to head to MBK (the giant 6 story mall full of cheap things) to buy James some shoes. At home I cannot find shoes that fit me and here James cannot, however, he is in lov with all the shoes here so it is painful for him. He is experiencing what I experience at home all the time. I have yet too be all that successful in

Yesterday we went to the Wat Phra Kaew, which is a big old shiny temple, and the Grand Palace, which is a royal residence. What to say about it.... The Wat and surrounding buildings are very ornate and beautiful and I am sure my pictures do not do them justice. There were, however, a million people there. It was really hot and the line to the temple was so long we decided not to go inside the actual main temple with the emerald Buddha and instead went over to another portion, which was the Grand Palace. After that we went on a little journey... With our ticket to the Grand Palace and such, we

Today we went shopping, mostly in the market near our guesthouse, and then went to this huge 5 story mall called MBK. I bought a cheap knock-off zip-up, and a bag for toting around my daily things. James bought a long sleeved button up shirt and we had dinner at a Pizza Place that puts sausage in the crust. The first place we stayed late last night (after we got there at midnight) was not so good. There was a cockroach, who greeted us about five minutes after we arrived, and it was kind of like a small town Manitoba Motel, think Carmen Motor Inn. Tonight, however, we are staying in a

It seems like there are a million things left to do and yet nothing that I can do right now. the tax e-filing system is down here in Canada and has significantly restricted our funds leading up to our departure date and so some things have been put on hold until all paychecks are in (including getting travellers checks and the like).
