This past week has been the hardest week (school wise) to date. I had multiple tests/quizzes everyday and Friday was the worst. However, I had a light at the end of the tunnel-Harry Potter. But more on that later. Last Sunday we went to this great little pizzeria in a section of town called-not surprisingly-Little Italy. Their pizza was as good, if not better, than some of the pizza I've had at home. On Tuesday we went to this Indian restaurant/bar. I was quite worried I wouldn't be able to eat anything(with my horrible dislike of anything mildly spicy) but the cook was very respectful of my wishes for 'very mild'. Most of you know that I'm in Taiwan for two months, but noteveryone knows that I'm here essentially to go to summer school. I'm going to summer school, in Taiwan. Every weekday I have classes from 8 am-12 noon. Four hours sounds intense, but it's not 4 solid hours of classes. The first class of the day is usually an hour long. Then we take a break between each class, which, as the breaks start growing longer throughout the morning, classes shorten a little. So we go to class but then get to chat or check email inbetween classes. They have a really nice little computer room here, which I take advantage of often. The teachers are all pretty cool. finally have internet now. I moved to a different room today too. The school wanted to consolidate all the kids staying for the summer. It was a day from Hell, in all honesty. I didn't have that much stuff, but my roommate, who is also staying for the summer and is moving to a different room, has TONS AND TONS of stuff. Not only that, but our building was as far back in the corner of the womans' area as you could go. There was no path without stairs, so using the carts they provided did little to help. However, after sweating 3 gallons of my body weight and moving to the wrong room, I am finally here. Thank goodness! Well, it took 21 hours of flying, not stop if you don’t count the 20 minute layover between flights, but I’m here. During the stop in San Fran, we (Ryan, Graeme and I) met up with this saint of a woman. I don’t think it’s coincidental we met up. Not only was she traveling back to her home town (Taichung, where we were going) but she also used to teach at the college we currently attend. I like to think of her as a mother duck-She was the first person we made contact with, and she led us around until we got to Taichung.
