Samatha old language translates into Simply, the simply bed and breakfast it is, this is paradise, we had a very bumpy ride over in the taxi, this was shared with two other couples we were placed in the back of the pickup truck and taken a twenty five minute drive from the main pier that the ferries had dropped us off. “O, my, god, look at the size of this bed it’s massive” the room was BIG. I say taxi, it was more like a truck with the back end cut off with no door and enough sitting room for about 4 people each end, me and D were the first on D’s face turned and said to me “is this it?” I really didn’t by this point “is this what we are going to Bangkok in?” again I was not too sure but thinking in the back of my head surly not. During the week a man named Myrmidon or otherwise known as Kosta introduced himself to us, I have not mentioned him through my blog as I wanted to dedicate this part to him. He has served for his country in three combats and been shot twice, retired now but still a protector of his fellow man and also a huge animal lover hence his title Myrmidon. He visits here for half the year and spends the other half in Greece, he is the kind of man that if you saw down a dark alley you would try to avoid but the truth of it is he is the kind of person you would want to be walking down the alley with just in case anything should happen. Right I am not going to bore you with every little detail of our trip, most people get hooked to things like big brother because you get to see all the best bits, you can imagine watching 24 hours of a show (BORING) but when you take all the best bits and this 24 hours now becomes 1 hour you have something that people will be interested in. Right waiting to fly to Bangkok, I have been told different things about the place just now, it’s under water, and it’s not. As I say there is only one way to find out and it’s to see it for yourself. We had booked a hotel near the airport for one night only. The plane ride was mad I looked out the window of the airport in Hong Kong to see a airbus, now this thing is BIG it is that big it makes your mind wonder, how the fuck? Good thing that we didn't need to get up until later for the symphony of lights cause we didn’t. It was a lazy day in Hong Kong for us as we found out no one really gets up until midday and does not go to sleep until 6.00 in the morning so it was perfect for us. D got all dressed up she looked AMAZING but then again she even looks good in a bin bag and trusts me I know. "Alarm set for 6:30am ok our flight not till 10:05am that will be more than enough time baby" 8:30am, "D WAKE UP". Can you believe we nearly slept in? I don't know how we even got up, here's some good advice for travel, do not, I repeat do not go out on the piss the night before. Anyway made it to the airport and we looked like a Donna kebab that had been left out all night, D was looking like she was going to spew but I didn't want to say and then she turned to me. The plan was to go to bed and wake up the next morning nice and early, we ended staying up until 6am Dubai time, thus resulting in us sleeping in again, we called G and No.12 and they had also slept in as well, they said that they were on route and with breakfast. About 20min's later they came in and I just decided to cook for us all, French toast you can't be a good bit of French toast. G had a plan on going to the beach as she wanted to top up her tan anyway and No.12 wanted to show us his pool at his apartment. The plane landed and it was a good landing well from what I could tell, it was about 1am their time, the doors opened and BAM the heat right away was shocking for that time in the morning not that we had to experience much of it as we were put on a bus and drove away to the main body of the airport.
