Scots Scotland is quite different to Wales (I've lived in both), but you've got to hit the West coast of Scotland and the islands to get the really amazing scenery and white sand beaches. The East coast isn't very spectacular. :) I'm suprised you didn't hit the midges - you've never had wanted to return!

Great to have you back Hi Nic,
Lovely to hear from you again. Thanks for the heads up on the Queensland islands. We have been weighing up whether or not to try and get a job on the Islands as the first permanent weaning away from home. Might have to give that one a try. Looking forward to your next entry.
Happy travelling!
Cheers,
Sonja
Hostals Hello! Interesting post about Kosovo, I know there are not a whole lot of hostels here but there are in fact hostels in both Pristina (the Professor's Hostel) and Prizren (Pension Oltas). It still has a long way to go in the tourism sector but it's starting!!

Welcome Home! Hi Nic,
It must be strange to be back in Oz again after so many wonderful countries. Are you staying for a while or will you be going back overseas again? I have really enjoyed travelling around the world with you from my computer. Enjoy Cairns, and try to see a bit of the beautiful Daintree.
Take care!
Sonja
Lovely photos Nic.....Transporting the pre-historic CROC'S would have been awesome!!!......Charles Darwin was a very very lucky fellow indeed.....According to my dictionary "Cairn" is a Gaelic/Scottish word meaning a conical "heap" or a "pile" of stones erected, fer example, on a mountain-top, as a landmark....Och aye the noooo!!!.....x

Hello I have to be honest, I have never heard of this place before. Sounds like I can probably live without any more knowledge of it. It's a shame, when the neighbours are so friendly.

I found squat toilets in France! Now that was a shock.
