Hello You are just zipping through these countries now. I can see it is a little more expensive than your tour through Asia. German is not one of the romantic languages and it is obvious.
Winter has hit Australia and there is a real cold snap on now. Even Brisbane is feeling the chill. I love the cool weather although for Brisbanites it leads to a downturn in social activity. People just don't know how to deal with the cold weather here. I love it though, and it is only brief.
I hope you are having loads of fun and meeting lots of people!
question please My 22 year old daughter is a Sound Of Music freak. Recently took her to Sing-along on the big screen ( very embarrassing ) She wants to know if you did the SOM tour please Nic....

Your scribblings about each of the countries you have visited on this marvellous adventure of yours are simply delightful.I go back often over them at odd moments and am totally distracted by your photographs!
You certainly have painted an interesting picture of Prague, Poland and Slovenia which are places I would never have previously considered visiting but are now on my Bucket List. Stay well sweetie and best wishes always.........Edna
Good for you Nic!, in widening yer horizons and visiting places ye'd never have thought of.....Poland: Doesn't have a great footballing reputation though they'd probably beat Scotland. I couldn't visit the horrors of WW2
It's Christmas!!! I know these landscapes and buildings from past ventures across Europe, Nic.......I can imagine the falling snow would have delighted ye....x
The land of the Weeeeee I've never given the country a thought before and 'am glad ye passed through it.....One learns something new every day, Cheers Nic....X
Greeeeeeeeting's! Hiya Nicole, So! Ye didn't 'njoy Switzerland.....That's a a pity. If it's any concillation I'm not a fan o' Toblerone either.....I liked the many shape's, coulours, design, size and scenic pictures of the homes, churches, shops, mountains, passer-bye's, trees, purple buggy's......x
Hello I do love their work - Lindt, Toblerone etc And I have a Tissot watch.
I had a good friend who was Swiss in the past and I am digging in my mind for the basis of her pride in her country. It really was down to how civilized they believe they are. They pride themselves in their government and a very clean and orderly society. Of course, she left Switzerland in the 1980s and never went back.
Briz whether is turning cool and the sun has disappeared. I am a couple of weeks from exams and have been battling the flu. Great weather for hats.

So wonderful I love the pictures of Greece, so clean and so empting. No wonder Daisy like to draw the houses, building and flowers.
Thank you for sharing your trip Nicole, take care
Hey Nic! I guess you'll be able to say goodbye to your cheap travel by entering Europe!!! Stu had a blast in Turkey when he was there. He even got a piercing! (eyebrow!!) There are just so many amazing things to see and do there. I would never have the strength to travel alone like you are my dear! Such an inspiration!
Hello I thought those must be professional photos, at first. I was wondering why you were suddenly not using your own photos. How beautiful!
I thought that Prada story was so funny! I couldn't buy clothes in a shop where there was smoking either, and I am a smoker.
And all those great job offers! So your're going to chase summer around the globe. What a fantastic plan.
Love your posts. Can't wait for the next one.
Nothing much happening in Briz. I am very busy at uni with exams coming up soon. Having a cool autumn for a change. I am having an eighties flashback right now, because their playing 80s music on RAGE.
Take care.

Hey Nic!!! Hey Nic... finally caught up with all your blogs....just spent like the last three hours going through it all and just read TURKEY...so glad to hear that your having a wonderful time exploring, after India was such a disappointment. It has been great to hear of all your experiences as I would never have considered Malaysia or Turkey as travel destinations, personally before... but now I am keen to go...Hoping to get up to Dharamsala and on to Tibet next year before it is further interferred with. Now I can add a few more things to check out on the way. Hope to hear from you soon and hope you enjoy your experiences in Greece!!! Love Tasch (Mum and John say HI!!)
Hi Nicole it was very nice to read all the excellent comment about Turkey. It certainly makes me want to go to that place.Actually my best friend was married to a Turkish diplomat and was appointed as an Ambassador in Indonesia once.So you can imagine she returned to her own country as a madam ambassador!Anyway, hope you'll enjoy your next visit to Greece, who knows you might meet a handsome Greek gentleman....Ciao!
Thanks for the heads up Thanks for the honest appraisal Nicole. Not a great deal different to stories I have heard from other travellers however your pictures are very enticing. I feel I would still like to visit India if only to experience the thriving atmosphere. There appear to be many beautiful things to see even if the majority of the place is rundown. I look forward to your views on Turkey as I have also heard many good things and am keen to go for a look myself.
So brave !!!! It is great to read about your travels and I am sorry I have not replied more often as I always read them with much interest. I have heard many similar stories of India so I think you are VERY brave to have even endured it for that long! I love the Indian cuisine but have NO desire to go there at all, Turkey on the other hand could tempt me!! Hope that your jouney through Europe will be more pleasant and be sure you will make me miss Europe very much and very envious. Have fun and take care, Cherie xxxx
Cant think of a title..... It's nice to see a different India as I only dipped my toe into the country.....However I smelt the same rotten atmosphere's.....I heard the same chaotic, over populated inviroment's and was approached by the same vulturic street tout's, offering help and advice......enjoy Turkey Nicole....x
We Feel Your Pain! We just finished our tour of India and feel much the same way you do (our post is actually the one right under yours). We made it 10 weeks but it never really gets easier. We learned to tolerate the discomfort but it never goes away. Turkey on the other hand is fantastic and much easier than India! Splurge on a balloon ride in Goreme, it actually is incredible. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your travels. Best wishes, Amarryn + Kevin.
