Wow - mixed feelings about India
It does certainly look squalid and filthy - but they look happy living that way, a very descriptive entry - I could almost "smell it", looks like you're having a beauty time though, do you think it would have been the same if you'd paid FIRST class? or you think the roaches would have been polished before you boarded the train? ha ha See Caroline at times going to the ferry or walking with her freinds - she's looks fabulous! See you when you get back, and please don't bring any bed bugs home with you okay? hee hee Bev

Come in number three your time is up! I'm also not sure about that Dalwini dancing "girl?" A rug; have you smelt those camels? Hey, it's fantastic to see the sights through your travellers eye but I think it's time to come home. Looking forward to hearing many a tale.

what a wonderful trip
Very Interesting Kev, it is good to see Malcolm with you, I spent a few days on a houseboat exploring the Lake Dal in Srinagar in 1973. I can see not much has changed.

Not sure whether to be impressed or otherwise with your exploits in Marrekesh!! baahaa 20dirhams... I must swap my horrendous Bangkok experience with you when you get back to Russell.. good luck with the rest of your trip!!

Thanks for that. I didn't realize that chateau was so far north, and west. It's amazing to think of distances travelled in those days by carriage. Too bad you couldn't go in. That would have been a treat for me....
