Lets just say I am so happy I went up to Vang Vieng! It was soo much fun!! I just wish I had more time :) (Maybe I can convince Jason to go up for a week ;) ) There is so much to do there from tubing to cave diving to jungle treking and the people are super nice :) The town is surrounded by tall rocky mountains covered in jungle with mist and fog passing through them :) Such a beautiful site every morning I got to walk out on to the second floor terrace and look at at the mountains :) The people we traveled up there with were very fun to be around. I think a lot of it had to do with them all being British lol. It is quite fun ... read more

So today we went to see the prison and the killing fields that were part of the genocide that happened here in the 1970's Apparently Pol Pot (That is the name of the leader) decided to kill anyone who was intelligent. That includes looking like you are as well. He abolished education, law, just about everything that made you think. Burned libraries and most all links to the past way of life the Cambodians had. The places we visited, the prison used to be a high school, there are photos up of a lot of people who were there, what would happen is they were brought to the prison to be tortured for information and then taken to the killing fields 14km south of the prison to be executed. There were millions of people who died ... read more

Well we have not seen the sun shine in 4 days :( I am SOOOOOOO Glad I brought those boots everyone else has soggy feet lol but it is interesting the locals all wear sandels or are barefoot. It is very poverty strickin here. We crossed in on the south easten border of Thailand from Hat lek and stayed in the first boarder town there for a nite and took a 6 hour bus trip up to Phnom Penh (The Capital of Cambodia) this morning...I thought i was going to get sick because people near buy were sneezing and coughing so I had to breath through my clothes every now and then. But I think I am okay. On our way we passed by several rural villages it was very interesting and different to see the ... read more

So we have tracked to the south eastern part of ko chang just in time too! We got here yesterday morning and on the 2 hr taxi over (which is in the back of a pick up) it started pooring. And it is a day later and still pooring. The good news is the ocean is warmer than the air and the beach is flat. Justin and I want to go snorkling but we need to wait for the storm to subside. All and all it is really fun over on this side of the island only two places to stay and there are not mounds of people or taxies. The power has been out since yesterday so I am typing this on a phone lol gonna get going thanks for the comments... Oh and the ... read more
