New Zealand Hi Carroll
Todate New Zealand has to be one of the prettiest countries we have visited. How are you doing, have you done much travelling since we last saw each other.
Morgan
The scenery looks phenomenal and the glacier better and more extensive than any I've seen. It's great to live vicariously through your trip.
Love Carroll
I have heard such wonderful things about New Zealand and of course the World Tour gave a small flavour. It is certainly on my Bucket List. Your pictures look phenomenal. I guess we all have to worry about our "Mother Hens." Still counting punch buggies Mare. I think I would win with the number I've seen here in Arizona.
Glasgow is one of my favourite cities Hi Morgan and Mare - Glasgow is one of my favourite cities. We were there about two years ago and between it and Edinborough, I fell in love with the country. Hope you are having a wonderful time. Sue
The Pubs in the UK Hi Carroll -- Yes the pubs are great, friendly people and I developed a liking for guiness plus good food. Our next big trip is in January to New Zealand and on the way back we will stop in Vancouver for the Olympics. In Scotland it seemed that out of 10 people at least 6 had been to Canada.
All the best
Morgan
Wow folks, can I hide in your suitcase next trip? I've been living vicariously through your trips. Aren't the pubs in England great. The last time I was there I was on my own and had supper in "my local" most nights enjoying the fellowship of all of the other folks there. Everyone was friendly, had relatives somewhere in Canada and I became hookied on lager and lime. Mare, did Lizzie not invite you in for tea. Ah well perhaps next time.
Winter in the South Pacific,eh! You are going to run out of blank space in your passports. Enjoy the weather, it looks like we are going to have more cold weather for a while - bad for the bones but good for the oil & gas stocks (I hope). Looking forward to seeing the photos.
Good journal Hi Morgan,
A good summary of India through your writeup. I am checking
this website for where people stay when they go to Agra so that
I can book when I go.
India is one place, when you can see animals wandering and, unlike in other countries where they see only in TV and books. I
did not understand the word "poverty" in the paragraph. Poverty for what?. We do not "show-off". I have seen worse
countries in Europe. Anyway..it was a good read.
OMG Hey Mom and Dad! Wow! You guys look like you're having a blast. Amazing how different the world is huh? I never doubted you would be having a blast. I'm impressed with the Sake, it's strong stuff. Oh, my bars are getting fixed by the way by the same company who did it before. Thought that would make you feel better. Miss you tons and love your blog Dad!

Nice shot Morgan, the picture of the Golden Pavilion is very nice. Love the composition and the reflection. Enjoy your big trip around the world. I wish I have time to visit Japan too.

Memories Your comments on Kyoto bring back memories of my visit there in 1996. I was in Tokyo on business and was then entertained for a full week-end by some "generous" investment bankers in Kyoto. We stayed in a very high end ryokan where we had an 18 course meal sitting on the floor. I also remember walking up a street filled with shops and souvenir kiosks on the way to the biggest wooden temple in the world. Thanks for rekindling these memories and continue with the blog.

I'm jealous! Hi, Morgan (and Mare),
It will be fun to keep up with your trip through your blog--I'm still wishing I could have talked Leo into going this year. Please say "hello" to Bob Koo and anyone else from last year's trip who's on the trip.

New Zealand I visited New Zealand in 1984 and it was 25 years behind other countries. According to my calculations they have moved forward from '84 but on a relative basis the country has remained behind the times. This is one of the secrets of New Zealand's beauty.
Since I retired in 2006 my wife Mare and I are doing our best to see as much of the world as we can. Life is an adventure, you only go this way once and we want to pack in as many new experiences and adventures as we can.... full info
