Since our last update we have travelled far and wide. When in Townsville we visited the biggest reef museum in Ausatrlia. We then travalled across country to Mt Isa.... that journey only took us 15 hours, which included sitting at a road block fro over two!!! From there we drove to Katherine (up the middle), that journey was over 1300 Km's and took us about 12 or so hours. By the end we were exhausted, wobbly, fat (from water retention), we booked into the most horrible cabin, but managed to sleep like the very tired do!From there we have travalled North and are now just 20kms south of Darwin. The weather here is silly hot, it is about 35/40 most days... we can not wait for rain - although after a week back in the UK ... read more

Hello All Since we last posted stuff on this, we have visted Great Keppel Island, which was lovely and quiet... ask Tony and he'll say it was dull :O) hehehe, we were staying in a lovely, plush tent... only problem was the yanks (sorry Stacey - you are obviously excluded from that comment)! We have since driven up to Townsville - it only took us 10 hours... which isn't too bad going, but we both have fat ankles... water retention I think from sitting on our bums for such a long time! We have been here a few days, and will be leaving on Saturday to drive the 900 kms to Mount Isa... from here on in the journeys are long and hot... but at least we have loads of water... and are sharing the driving! ... read more

We left the mountains on the 21/08 and have been travelling since, back to the life of nomads. We travalled inland to Dubbo where we visited the zoo. From there we headed North and stayed ina small place called Iluka. From there up North to see Katherine, Matt, Zack and Jada. We had a great time, even babysitting Zack for an afternoon and evening. We slept well the next evening :O) From there we headed North and through torrential rain to Bundaberg. After a night in the van we have booked into a cabin on a campsite. We have been to the Bundaberg Distillery and seen the rum first hand! We should be leaving here on Monday and heading North again towards Gladstone. About 1-2 hours drive. Staying there for a couple of days and then ... read more
