Counter-counter blog Well sounds as though you two are living the life of Riley but in a packed life back in the UK, it's important you know the latest:
1. Your work colleagues had a fab curry night out last night. Mike was the only one that went to the correct Ocean Palace in Port Solent whilst everyone else went to Ocean Palace in Gun Wharf
2. Jane C and Jean book a 4 day break to Marrakesh to re-enact Darryl's walk into a lamp post routine. Jane still refuses to accept that Marrakesh is not a sepearte country and is part of Morrocco. (Anita has no idea what we are talking about)
3. Meakin's office gets a daily spring clean and the live animals and insects discovered on a regular basis continue to amaze
4. Paul Kalra close to needing anti-depressants as Leeds FC take a nose-dive down the Div 1 table
5. The sun was seen yesterday for 3.8 seconds
We could tell you more but it'll only make you book the first plane back.............
great pictures Enjoying your blog. Jane C thinks blog such a good idea she wants to do one for our weekend trip to Marrakesh, which by the way she didnt know was in Morocco until last night! You never know she may turn up near you one day.
The odd mouse... Man...thats an odd mouse you keep in your desk at work....one of your patients had a very bemused look when I opened the top drawer...and out popped the mouse with the jangly tits!!! Nice one,Daz!!
lavaliscious Looks like you guys are having a great time- just to make you jealous I saw in the New year by toasting the cat with a mug of ovaltine- still the absence of psychotic marines was a welcome change (have to ask Daz about that one!)- hope that Partha doesnt get too comfortable behind your desk....Have fun
Have we finally worked out how to reply? Well, our previous comments have not been recorded, clearly should have asked the kids how to do this in the first instance. You look like you are having some fab experiences that you will never forget. Penny - didn't your chocolate melt next to that volcano? Or did you survive the trip without any? Darryl - I bet you're glad you didnt stay at the bottom to read a book!
Copyright Following your exploits with interest - you jammy toads. Did you visit Ak'tum Kan (Cave of the serpent) on Flores and carved wood is the thing to buy in Tikal. I have pinched some of your sunset photos to paint and presume I have your permision - tough if not. Don't get lost in the jungles of Belize. Passing lots of work to Mike!!!!!
Wow! Looks amazing!! I wish I've joined you on this walk ..
Darryl, did you survive this volcano climb? Or no more volcano climbs on the rest of your journey ;)
(I arrived safely in the US and A. More than 1hour delay on flight and long wait at customs in US. But I made it!)
Looking forward to read and see the rest of your adventures!
Take care!

News please! Come on,
Some of us are stuck on night duty in the miserable rain here in Basingstoke waiting for some enlightening news to make me feel incredibly jealous.
You must've done something exciting by now or have you been arrested and locked up already?
George
hello travellers Dear Daz and Pen
Glad you arrived safely and are getting into the local way of life. Obviously you (Daz) are missed QA and of course we are already pining for you. Sorry missed New Year but alastairs Hb was 7.8 so he was feeling pretty knackered. Hope you had a good time and both received my kiss from Jane C. Now that you are gone Partha has got straight into the spirit of things by organising a night out end of the month. So much better than you!! ha ha. Penny, are you fed up with Daz yet???
Anyway, we cant all be layabouts so must get back to work (time to make tea I think).
Take care, love to you both Anita XXXX
message from QAH switchboard Dear Dr Meeking,
Please contact the QAH switchboard to confirm that you are still covering this weekend on-call. Several gastroenterology registrars have been unable to contact you. Also Mrs Muggin's left foot has gone green again. Do you have any advice?
Many thanks
All at the QAH
Yeah, missing QAH like a hole in the head. Partha settled in -cleared your desk of detritus going back to 1999. Have a fantastic start to 2008. Love Jane
Portsmouth is freezing Glad you arrived OK! Sorry I missed you on NYE; was in PJs by 9 and bed before 12. Really horrible weather here - freezing and grey. REEAAAALLY jealous. Have a fajita and a bottle of beer for us and we look forward to reading more of your antics....
Lots of love Steph Sanjay and unborn xxxx
Well done Darryl DO NOT THINK ABOUT QAH - it will still be here when you come back or on the other hand you come back and I will take your place on what is a wonderful time. Good on you both fr using buses - I must take a lesson from that.
Am still so jealous...will be until you return! Hope you didn't have hangovers on the flight!! I had a nice birthday but sadly back at work now... boo hoo. Must be awful for Darryl not being able to go to QAH for 3 months...
