We took the Greyhound overnight from Newcastle to Byron Bay, no-one vomited thankfully and the bus driver rearranged the seating of the bus so that Matt and I could sit together...It seems that Greyhound didn’t link us so that we would always sit together, despite us visiting them specifically to ask them to do that. Muppets! Byron Bay at first glance seemed small, quaint and relaxed. It is very much a beach side town and has numerous Billabong, Ripcurl, Quicksilver, Roxy shops around trying to sell board shorts, bikinis, sunglasses, hats, surf boards and so on. It had loads of bakeries and lovely looking restaurants and a huge local Woolworths supermarket to buy cheap chocolate and dinner ingredients from. Sounds heavenly doesn’t it?!
