Glad you enjoyed Fiji sounds like you had better accommodation than Auntie Sharon and she would have loved to have gone to MantaRay Island. Anthony and Jenna came home from their travels yesterday and Sheila, Auntie Cynthia and all the family are over the moon which has made Grandma jealous. Grandad and Sharon are still busy decorating will it ever end! It's all coming along nicely and upstairs is nearly finished. We're going on a Warner holiday next week to Home Lacey in Herefordshire and we might even get to go for a swim then! Take care of yourselves. Lots of love as always, missing you love you Grandma, Grandad and Sharon xxxxxxxx

aloha Hi ya you two, hope you are loving Hawaii, with everyone and brilliant weather too. Hope the broken foot is not being to much of a problem. I can see you sat on your bottom all day whilst the others go off having the holiday of a life time, mind you, you do have a drink in your hand, and a good book to read.( Shame ). Bet the family reunion was brilliant and everyone was so, so pleased to see each other after all the time planning it, and eventually getting there. Bet the men laughed at you and your broken foot Martin, whilst the women both felt sorry for you, and their motherly instincts crept in automatically. Have a fab time Sophie, enjoy every minute together, cause everyone knows how quickly two weeks go by. We will be thinking of you all every day and cant wait to catch up with Sandi and Al when they get back to hear all the gossip.
Glad you enjoyed the Fijian Islands and by the sounds of it you met some lovely people again there. The weather was good and the snorkelling was fab in that cristal clear waters. raining in paradice Hi ya you two, cant believe its been raining in paradice, but glad you`ve met some lovely fun and interesting people from England and the rest of the world. Still over all the weather during the last 9 months has been brilliant so a little (a lot in your case) rain is only to be expected now and a gain. They had people drinking that welcome drink on the holiday program on Sunday night and i did`nt see them objecting in any way once they had finished it. Yours must have been made differently or stronger seeings you were all backpackers. You are at present on your Beachcomber Island and we have seen it on the web it looks a great atmosphere there, no wonder they call it the party island. Australia is now a distant memory for you both, and i cant believe that only two weeks ago you were still there, the time now is flying by. In a few more days you will leave Fiji for Hawaii and the start of a great two week holiday with Sandi, Alan, Sharon and not forgetting JOHN of course (say no more). You know at Natalie and Steves Wedding he had me going telling me that his little grandson Jenson was fast asleep in the car, in the carpark all night, whats he like i tell you. Just reminding you both what to expect over the coming two weeks in case you had forgotten. As you already know by now the wedding at the weekend was absolutely fabulous and they both looked so, so happy. They are off to Dubai for their honeymoon today i here, and Dave is looking after Faye whilst they are gone. Well keep enjoying the dream, and keep the blog and e.mails coming as everyone i speak too look at now and again and love it. Enjoy your last few days in Fiji, and of course have a wonderfull holiday in Hawaii.
Lots of love mum and dad xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Eric the King makes his debut! Last night saw the King, make his first appearance for the Pilgrims in goal no less and people actually thought it was david James in goal!
The wedding was superb, even the dj was class! Apparantly everyone did not want to leave as he was so good but i dont want to blow my own trumpet so i will put it down to the band being good instead lol!
We have the first meeting for the new team tonight and i am well excited!
Nice to see that beard gone, it was becoming a bit much you looking like george michael all day long, but i did always wonder about you lol!
Also on a note reply to your emails! I have a provisional date for the Stag do, so i want to get things moving! Cheers and as part of the wedding i need your input lol!

beardy boy Good am Marty n Sophie , Its now the 1st June and you should now be on your way to the Fijian Islands , saw your mum n dad and Sharon n John at Colin Smiths retirement do at the Crownhill Family Centre , your mum and Sharon are so excited about coming out to see you she has missed you a lot and is so looking forward to the holiday, she assures me she is able to pack a case with only 23 kilos in it that I would love to see she said she is only taking 3 pairs of shoes and only 1 handbag I reckon the airport will be left with a lot of your mums stuff till she gets back home ha ha When we got home last night all the lads that where off on Steves stag weekend where getting ready to set off for the airport they all had Hawaian suits on sombreros flip flops ,then Steve turned up and he was wearing nothing other than a grass skirt a long brown wig and for a bra was 2 shells and he had a big red flower on the side of his head , then his best man Blair Sturrock was in red speedo pants which left nothing to the imagination believe me, in fact I had to avert my eyes after a while of course , I dont know how they allowed them on the plane like it even Mr DAVE POOK was in his outfit mind you they did all look spectacular all I can say is god help Magaluf I thought it was a bit too near the wedding myself just hope they dont shave Steves hair off or anything still his dad is with him so hopefully no harm will be done . I am sure they will have a great time eh ,well must go time for my well earned break so glad you have gotten rid of that awful beard ,its just not you never cover up a handsome face with something so unsightly again have a safe journey to Fiji take care lol Marion n PA PA Roch xxxxxxx
Yes Horse!! Firstly the horse face photo jjust made me choke on my lunch as i was laughing so hard, ledge!
Haven't blogged it up for a while, mainly cus i get jealous seeing what you've been up to. Everything is looking fantastic as always, well not quite everything....that Beard was a disgrace, you reminded me of my old man, which is clealry not a look you'd want. I'm glad i cant grow one ;-).
Have a great time in Fiji. xxxxxxxxx
Hi guys, I just wanted to say have a safe flight to Fiji tomorrow. You'll be sad to say goodbye to Aus after you've had such good times but there will be many more to come I'm sure. Can't believe the time is flying by so quickly! Speak soon lots of love Helen xxx
Your last few hours in Sydney Hi ya you two, another terrific blog update that lets us all know what youve been up to over the last week.Your photos of Sydney harbour are good and it sounded as if your birthday was a great day out for you both.We did raise a glass to you whilst we were out on the sunny Barbican that day.The horse photo is really funny, i can imagine you two falling about in stitches whilst trying to get a photo together. That could be your party piece now Martin.
You only have around 18 hours left in Sydney before you fly to Fiji tomorrow, and im sure you have enjoyed being able to stay at Darren and Kates and do some more sporty things with them again. They keep you entertained dont they, and have been able to offer lots of advice on Fiji and Hawaii, i hear too.
Glad the surfboard is travelling well, your right it is a way of life down there, and we see it as cumbersome but obviously they are all geared up for transporting them everywhere. You will be back to proper back packing now, as there no van on the next part of your travells eh! No doubt the accomodation will still be really lovely knowing you two. Also Fiji will be a lot hotter than Sydney at least 25 everyday which should please you both.
We are all looking forward to hearing all the news from beautifull Fiji and seeing some lovely photos too. Sandi, and Sharon are on count down now till they see you in Hawaii, i know they are counting the sleeps (like the tv advert) and are getting so excited, when we speak they dont stop smiling, its lovely.
Take care on your travells, look after each other as always,
Love you both

happy horseday laura and i would like to wish you a happy birthday, apparently your mum had to have a massive caeserin(propbably not the correct spelling) 25 years ago because she gave birth to a boy with a huge head, the biggest in all the land. doctors and midwife had never seen a boy with a head making up 4/5s of his body before. soph hope you are well, see you both in a few months xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx love you
The beard has gone! What a brill birthday, glad you both had a great time and SO glad that beard has gone - Chloe said you looked like Grizzly Adams. Keep going with the fab photos. Hope the weather's good in Fiji, bank holiday Monday and it's absolutely pouring down, thank God we are off to Spain tomorrow for a couple of weeks! Take care. love from all of us. xx ps we came close to Bristol City playing in the Premiership but they lost at Wembley in the final play-off against Hull, just 1-0. Ah well, always next year.
Happy Birthday Martin! Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Martin, Happy Birthday to you!!! Hope you received the video of us singing to you - shame we didn't get to speak today but you've obviously been out and about having lots of fun and celebrating in Sydney. Hope you've had a great day to remember now that you've become a member of the quarter of a century club. All our love and very best wishes from Mum Dad and Helen xxx
118 118 Got your Number Hi Guys,
Haven't written on here for ages! Cheers for the birthday message I had a cracking time down in Newquay. Plenty of beer etc. Browny and Graybar stitched me up with a mixed Jack Daniels and Baileys which curdled into something like the consistancy of mushy Cornflakes but being the drinker that I am it was no problem. Ha!!! The same can not be said for poor Erzo who was a complete mess by about half 8. Everyone looked smart in their 118 costumes although it did get to the point where if one more person said got your number I think we would of throttled them. Seems weird not being out for a joint birthday celebration mate but I am sure you will have a few beers over there to make up for it. Me Howesy, Mayzo, Kady and Bones went to the beach today although we only lasted about two hours as the clouds started coming in but the weather does seem to be improving slightly and we will hopefully get a bit of a summer this year. Will send an email soon with some photo's of our weekend away and a decent update. Me and Mayzo are on on the two week count down for Steve's stag weekend in Magaluf which should be a right laugh!!!! Jay Pook + Magaluf you do the maths!!!! Messy!!!!! Catch ya later
still jealous Hi my dear native friends , well I want you both to come home now you are having far too much of a good time and making us all sick with envy at what you will get up to next , its just not fair the highlight of my life was going to the new Wembley and seeing Steve play against Ebbsfleet last weekend it was a good day even though they lost 1-0 and there,s you two swimming with huge fish in tropical climates and throwing oneself out of planes as if your life is not exciting enough you just gotta add a bit of danger to it, to spice up your far too long a holiday ha ha , well yet another thing to add to your c/v when you return to England it will look good but not a lot of call for sky divers and snorkeling employment in this country ,I love the beard Marty you look a bit like Tom Hanks in Treasure Island or what ever film he was in stranded on a desert island , when do you get to Hawaii only i saw your mum Sophie trying on some grass skirts in Dingles , I better say Dingles and not the Oxfam shop ha ha well as you can see I am at work by the time this email is sent its really quiet I am glad as I was looking after the kids as they all went down to Hendra Caravan park as it was Phil Burgoynes birthday they all went dressed up as 118 118 people even the girls they all looked cool and had a great time and Helen n Ash went as well , well i must go now you both take care stay safe and out of danger lol Marion n PA PA Roch xx
WOW How cool. The Phonics looked amazin! but how can they not be! lol. you must be a little sad to see the van go? you should get one when u get back to England lol! sure i've seen one for £100 the other day! ;) have a good one and don't miss your flights!
youve been busy Hi ya, glad to read the latest blog and i guessed you must have been to busy doing stuff to update before now. Still all is going brilliantly for you including selling the van, you must have been sad to see it go all the same. Only 8 days till you move on to Sydney so enjoy the time you now have left with Martin and Dawn and ofcourse little Paddy. The band was good, and i can tell it was another highlight to your around the world adventures. Has Martin tried to talk you into working with him at all in the future? You both seem very fond of them which is nice. Youll always be able to return there on holidays in the future too no doubt. That will have to work both ways too as when they visit England they will want to see you as well as their family in Plymouth. Still got that awfull beard Martin i dont know how Sophie has put up with it for so long. She needs a medal, no one would blame her if she demanded compensation of some sort, having to put up with that for so long. Hope Martin is still growing his beard too you must take a photo and show us all. All that for a free meal out you two are well wierd. You will be growing finger nails next to see who gets the longest. All is well home here, Take care always, speak soon, love you lots mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Martin Cocks and Sophie Penwill both from Plymouth, Devon, England. Martin 24 and Sophie 22.
We have both always wanted to go traveling and decided last Christmas to set of this Sept 2007. We have saved really hard and have sacrificed a lot this past year, but not working for the year to come and experiencing all that we will see and do is so worth it!!!
We are both very excited and hope you enjoy reading about our adventure and looking at the photos we take along the way.
We will miss you all very much
