Enjoyed your flower quilts Just thought I would let you know that we are still in Nomads. Heading out tomorrow to Albuquerque, NM to visit past Nomad friends and then on to Sacramento, for our project. Enjoyed your blog on quilts and flowers. DeLores
Ohio How do you find all these great places? We didn't see any of this when we visited Ohio, including Sandusky, a few years ago for a Hornbeck family reunion.
Round Barns---Vesta I always stop at visitor center on entering a state, then visit local centers to pick up more info. I collect, read and discard a lot of stuff! It also helps to have friends who live in the area!
Loved this chapter Oh, I never recall your telling me about this place, I had heard about Chautauque, the town with 3 uuu... But did not know about the classes etc. Just love your picture and like Vesta I want to go there, was your campground nice and expensive? More encore encore please..
Chautauqua--Joyce I visited just one day. On Sundays the public gets in free. All other days there is an entrance fee. I didn't stay overnight there--can't remember where I stayed. Yes, Chautauqua is expensive.
Atlanta This brings back such memories for me as we lived in Atlanta for 4 years back in the sixties. Actually we lived in Decatur which is an Atlanta suburb. Chuck was in grad school at Emory Univ and I taught English (grades 7-12) in Lithonia (near Stone Mountain). We spent most weekends at Leon and Loretta's. They were so good to us and kept us well fed. (Loretta was such a good cook!) Anita was a delight. We attended her wedding. As I said, so many memories of all the good times there!
Sounds like the fuel filter to me Sounds like the fuel filter needed changing. I liked vehicles in the past better when I could figure them out. Of course this was blogged about years ago so I figure you got it fixed by now but I will read on and see what happened.
I couldn't find your blog by searching travel blog so I went to Google Search and found you on that . : )
Choosing the best on the menu It is hard not to be a winner when you choose a jewel of Watkins Glen..an outstanding adventure in nature. You did the wise thing, which called for hiking the gorge . Pity those who just stop, jump out, snap of pix and drive on. Next wise choice Corning Glass Works. Even after 47 yrs of visiting, we never grow tired of the Museum and all it offers. You blew glass...how outstanding! On 3rd Thursday from Sept to May, CGW, with 2300 degrees, offers so much free treats... music, food, etc. Yes Marty, there is yet much for you to discover as you roll along.
Widowed in 2008, I decided to pursue the dream my husband and I had of traveling. I took to the road in a 24 foot RV and haven't looked back. I had three goals: visit all my numerous cousins, visit all the lower 48 states and complete my bucket list. To date, I am revisiting cousins and states, adding to my bucket list, making new friends and having a ball. I blog so I can have a journal not only for myself, but anyone else who is interested. I am madly in love with my digital camera and take hundreds of pictures. I started out with my feline pal, Sam, but lost him along the way. Cali s... full info
