Bliss is good too Hi Paul, Alexa, Oliver, William and Quinton
Thanks for the graphic descriptions of some of your experiences. The boys will remember them for many years to come. Oliver thanks for your letter to Granny and I.
Charlie and Stardust say that they can't wait to see you all and to get some carrots from you.
Our conservancy is exciting and many more guests are now going for walks.
Look forward to hearing more of your travels.
Love.
Quin
Hi Guys,
Thank you for your blogs. We did not think you would be in Adelaide so soon, looking at the map it seemed as if you had to go all alone the coast, but looking at the map again, we can see where the highway takes you. (No side roads for new adventures!!)
I have written several replies in the private section but I cannot get them sent to you. Twice, they have not been able to send.
As always missing all of you, and boy, Charlie and Stardust would love a bunch of carrots from Quin. My heart went out to him when you mentioned his longing for his Gemma and Charlie Brown and Africa.
Lots of love to all of you. I will also be emailing you soon.

vishoek Paul always was quite the catch. Sound slike you continue to have a cracker of an adventure, although I should warn you that the average eucalyptus tree has significantly more personality that the average Adeladean. Now there are indeed some very interesting Adeladeans, but then again, there also some very interesting eucalyptus trees. Having said that, it has many wonderful traits, not the least of which being its nearby wineries - followed closely by its pie floaters (a wonderful accompaniment to the post remnants of too much wine - sic!). I have friends who have a small holding outside Adelaide - should I alert them to your coming and subtly suggest they offer you a camp site (I am sure they would love it)?
Loving Your Adventures Hi guys, absolutely loving your blogs. What an adventure...and the rain is bound to stop some time! All good here in SA, missing you.
x
Alexa, Paul and the moon To my surprise, this is the not the photo i was dreading it may be. The Marketos family are looking great and relaxed and loving their trip. I can't get over how accommodating every-one is and a true credit to themselves. Safe travels, keep blogging. Makes for a truly great read!
PS: Just spotted Pauls book on EBay for R100, and the Hobbit for R9.......Nice going Paul!
Hello Marketoses Hi Alexa, Paul and Boys - looks like you're having a great adventure! Soooo lucky to have swum with the sea lion, and to spend your time visiting new and strange places, what fun! Melissa, Toby and boys.
Wow! What a life! Hey Marketos's! Looks like you're all having the time of your lives! Ecstatic for you! Amazing stuff!!! Sitting here with bags under my eyes after a hectic week's work in Cape Town, spending my weekend catching up with admin work and your photos and blog are a much-needed reminder to me to not forget to LIVE!!! Hmmm.... so keep the pictures and updates coming -- the Joburg workaholics need constant reminding!!! Big love, Renate
fricken licken happy Firstly, a happy anniversary to you both - next monday?
Secondly Alexa, having read a few of your blogs its a darn shame that it is only Paul who has authored a book - fantastic! Sounds like you are having a whale of the time (a misery pun). Paul's misadventures are, I expect, due to Paul's unfamiliarity with going backwards in life. Either that or penance for his sheep jokes (psst, in Aus they are about Kiwis).
Keep coming east - only another 3,439 kms to sydney (unless of course you go the eyre hwy, eh, in which case it is a mere 3,433 kms). its quickest if you come via dubbo.
ps couldnt see the vid - was it just me?
Really enjoyed your blog - great to read about towns here in WA which are not really regarded as "tourist destinations" - I also saw the whaling station in action as a child -horrifying - so nice to see they have forgiven us and are often spotted near the whaling station both at albany and norwegian bay. Looking forward to your next adventure :)
wow hello,
I have been without proper internet since we arrived in France and this is my first visit to the blog...
it looks fantastic... pictures and beautiful and I will have to come back to read all the text!!
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience with all of us!
Lots of love,
Aude, Xav and Olivia
Tree top Wow! what an awesome experience the tree top walk must have been. This is the kind of thing that visitors to the country do whilst most of the locals never have the experience. Wonder how many Aussies have done it.
what did you see in the water? that must be cool being famous william, and oliver for finding that sword.
are you all settling in the caravan fine and all happy?
I am an Aussie who has been living in Johannesburg for the past 11 years, with my South African husband Paul and our three sons (Oliver, 9, William, 7, and Quinton, 4). Deciding that it was high time our boys got to see my country, we have decided to spend a year travelling around Australia and are currently somewhere in this beautiful land, in our caravan.... full info
