And the good times continue. i have not been digilent at posting comments, but as you can imagine, i have better things to do. We spent 4 days in Florence, rained a bit but still got to see all the big sites we intended. our bike ride in tuscany was a bust due to the rain, storm, thunder, lighting, and hail. but the entire group was taken wine tasting, olive oil tasting, toured a castle, as well as had lunch with as much wine as we desired. And when i saw the roads we were supposed to be riding, i was relieved. Florence is fun, reminded me of San Francisco - the shopping, troppo caro! Oh, did i say shopping, i cant believe the stores. oh my, if only the dollar were in our favor. And the Italians! The style of these people.. i want to photograph them. Some of the most beautiful people in the world... ... read more

I don't know the words to describe the overwhelming excitement I feel for this journey. I feel like my eyes will opened for the first time, like a child. The possibility to see things completely new... completely new to me, but that stood before Christ did. For now i will focus on the tasks on hand, packing, charging my ipod, double-checking my documents, and having dinner with Mollie. Just think the next time i've got something to send it will from an acient city, where Marco Polo traveled to and from for spices. No wonder Italy has the best food in the world! ... read more
