Only two days left. The thought scares the hell out of me, to be honest. Thursday afternoon I'll be flying - solo - to the other side of the earth, to live with complete strangers, and travel through a world in which I speak little of the language. And yes, that frightens me. Slightly. I'm thinking that the first few days will be the most scary. I'll have to travel to Tokyo, transfer to another terminal, fly to Fukuoka, hop on a train to Hakata station and walk to my Hostel. If that is done, I can sleep. The next day I'll have to get back to Fukuoka Airport (which, if I know the route, shouldn't be too big of a problem), where I'll be picked up for the first two weeks of World Campus-goodness. I've ... read more

Yes, I admit it that I am what you can consider as a downloader. Espacially things designed for a computer I download. It seems to me that it is just not needed to go to a shop, purchase a cd-rom with a file on it that you need to put onto you hard drive before you van install the whole thing, when you can just download the needed file in about half an hour. At the moment, I am reading the "A Song of Ice and Fire"-series (still at the first books, so I don't expect to be done by the time I leave next week). Next to that, I have ... read more

The last straws~ I'm almost done with my schoolwork, and although that - off course - has priority, Japan starts lingering in my brain. Next thursday I'll be flying to the magnificent (I hope) land of the rising sun *Squeel* There was a slight change of plans, since now I'll be going and attending the WCI programme on my own, but afterwards, my mum joins me in the metropolitan that is called Tokyo. Just writing about the whole ordeal makes me light-headed and have trembling hands, but I am so excited. So. Very. Excited. At the same time, my heart skips a beat when I think of all the stuff I have to do. In the most perfect of situations, I am a terrible planner. And with school, and the trip, it's NOT a perfect situation. ... read more

It is final: I'm going to Japan. It sounds like something you would just decide, but I - for some inexplicable and sinister reasons - decided to choose the high road. I was to join a program. Which, as you are reading, sounds as child's play. Well, not really. First of all, a little teensy-weensy fact about your truly; I suffer from a bad case of homesickness. To the point of manic panic attacks at three in the night (and believe me, others think it's cute for about five minutes, after that, they just want to bash your head in with the heaviest object in the room). And it has a tendency to ruin vacation trips. True, I've been living on my own for almost two years now, so it is possible that I've grown out ... read more
