I love London! London is one of my most favorite places in the whole world and I'm glad you find it magical also. I felt I had lived there at one time; it seemed like home! You have had the most amazing experiences; how great is that! Love, GJ
Thank you! I had a wonderful visit with you; I think it's a memory we'll share for a long time! I loved Perugia and have some great photos to share with you when you get home. You gave me an opportunity to experience something that I never would have had you not chosen to study abroad; for that I thank you . And I will never again eat a pizza without thinking of you! Love, Grandma Joan
My Visit I had a wonderrful time with you in Rome and Perugia! I am still jet lagged and wake up in the middle of the night wondering where you are! It was so special sharing all those experiences with you; I look at the photos and have such good memories. You are a joy to travel with; I'm anxious to see you at Christmas and talk about all our adventures. Love, Grandma Joan
You made my day! Margaret, honey, you just made my day! I'm having breakfast while getting ready for work, and there are photos and comments about you, Ann and Nicko! Ann has not been able to get a blog going, so I've not seen any photos of her. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing yours! We did speak to Ann on the phone, and she was equally thrilled to see you. Glad your fall break experiences were so awesome. You are living an incredible life! Love, Rae
I am in awe! I can't believe all the wonderful things you've seen and the great experiences! I am impressed. I am anxious for Perugia and our time together; DC was fun but this will really be special!Love,GJ
You made me cry! I didn't cry because you had no place to sleep, but that you realized that many people live long periods of their lives that way. That's why I'm on the housing authority! You truly have learned that life should be an adventure; good for you for not being afraid to try and have fun doing it! I hope I remember that when I'm lost in Rome! Let me know your plans to get to Rome and I'll see you soon!
Thanks for the update Now I can't wait to see Perugia; it sounds wonderful. I am anxious to meet your friends and do some exploring with you. I have my
hotel room so am ready to go.In 3 weeks we will be in Rome! Have a great break. Love,GJ
chocolate! I want to be there for the chocolate festival; it sounds wonderful! I wish I could go to Florence; guess I'll need to come back to Italy again someday.I got my plane ticket changed from Omaha to Chi; now I have 2 hours instead of 40 minutes. 4 weeks and counting! Love, GJ
Another great experience! I love hearing about your weekend adventures:they all sound wondeful and exciting to me!I am experiencing Italy thru your eyes. What is a duomo?By the way, George Bush annouced today that we don't torture, but he won't share any of the memos re what we do with Congress. Nothing has changed while you've been gone! Everyone is depressed because Nebraska played the worst game ever! It's a sad state. Love you! GJ PS Love all your photos!
Teach me to cook! When you are home and teaching sauce etc, I want to learn too! I wish I had time for a cooking lesson while there, but your pictures have me more excited about Perugia than Rome! It looks old, and wonderful and quaint. 5 weeks from now I will be there! Keep exploring and learning so you have lots to show me. Thank you for giving me the opportunityof a lifetime! I love reading about all the things you are experiencing; memories of a lifetime for you too! Love,GJ
Love your adventures! Your dad told me tonite that you had added some new adventures; I thought I would be notified but not true. I guess I will just check it every day or so. What wonderful things you are seeing and how much fun to do it with good friends, new and old. I will book my ticket tomorrow and let you know the times. Your dad is going to help with hotels; let us know any preference in Perugia. I think the 2 or 3 days in Rome will be wonderful; we will have so much fun and see so much! I think this week is your chocolate festival; eat lots for me. I'll let you know times. Love, Grandma Joan
another excellent adventure! What great times you're having; I think the trick is to go with the flow and not get stressed out by the small things. I laughed about the alarm; you did that here when we were headed to DC! I am still pondering a visit; having no language except English, I think I would stress about getting lost. People might never see me again! I will let you know soon; I travel to DC and everywhere else in the US without difficulty but I think it's the language barrier and being by myself so much that has me concerned. Would that I had your spirit of adventure! Love you !.
nice i like it. from a former nose piercee (yes, i made up a word), watch out for when you're drying your face, the towel fibers can catch on the stud and it can be quite annoying
You've hit the Jackpot! Finding good friends, great shoes and good food- could life be any better? What a great time you sound like you're having! Have you added Amy to your email?
I was robed, he read the blog before me! I'm going to go get the book and read it again, what a great and weird story...so lovely for bedtime....love, mom
