A year ago Hey Lynni!
:-) Last night a year ago we had the crazy birthday party for Flip in Venterskroon. A year later and I am completely heart broken - still on the same guy!
I would give anything to have you here to lecture me through this! Hope you are having an unforgettable time making memories in NYC!

Envious Was a bit envious of the heat you're in but not anymore - it's boiling here. Might not last though. Glad to hear you're OK. Another adventure begins................... xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Mum
Memories I remember it clearly when I went to Cathy's 25 years or so ago!! It is a GREAT place and I often imagined moving there - still, 'there's no place like home!' - even if it's cooler here in summer than it is over there in winter!!
Love and stuff, Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
HAD to comment on the automatic car thing - SO TRUE. I understand why Americans are shit drivers, it's so easy here! :P Also, did the Asians put on scouse accents or generic English ones? Being scouse would be funny!!
I miss you lots my dear xxxxxxx
Still sweating? I remember it well it took about 6 months before I stopped leaking all the time and my body adjusted. 'Spoilt brat' eh???? Ok the guy has seriously not changed! Pretty brave for someone so spoilt to be doing what you're doing and funding it yourself!!!
Love you, Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Parting is such sweet sorrow." Who'd have believed it!! - from Jan 'til now you've made SUCH good friends. You will see them again so all is not doom and gloom. Remember we will be here to help you through the next phase in your life - in which you'll meet more awesome people.
Love you lots, Mum xxxxxxxx
Search and rescue! Think of all the skills you'll be able to put to use when you go to uni!!! Especially if you help out a drunk driver with a broken arm and abdominal injuries! Go you!
Lots of LOVE, Mum. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Much happier! You 'sound' much happier - soooooo glad! That sounds like TORTURE running on sand for that distance!!!
Why are they making you go out in the middle of the night and leaving you to find your way back - that's a bit like an armt exercise.Still 2more young people now-a-days could be doing with that type of thing!!!"
Love you, Mum. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
CD Glad you got it - the guy at the post office was a bit dodgy and I was worried it wouldn't come...!
Missing you mate, but chin up!!
Love Gemma xxxxxxxxxxx
Cheer up! "When the going gets tough the tough get ready to go, go, GO!" I don't mean 'leave' but get going - you know it's a once in a life time opportunity and we're all sooooooooooo proud and jealous of all the things you're doing. CHEER UP! PLLLLLLLLLLEASE!
Love you lots, Mum.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It was surreal!! ...and amazing, honestly, I loved it, but I totally forgot during that time though how hard it actually is to be on a gap year and especially working at OB, even though it is incredibly good for me. I'm just trying to work out how I dealt with it at the start, so I can do it again :D
Garden Route Now that you have seen Cape Town, are you on your way down the Garden Route, it has the most amazing views and don't forget to stop in Plettenberg Bay, this little place is known as the Jewel of the Garden Route, they have great restaurants, pubs and beaches, hope your going to do some skydiving there, that's what I did, man is that amazing and let me not forget for accommodation the best place to stay is Starling Village Backpackers, it is so beautiful and the staff are so amazing it is true South African hospitality. Enjoy the rest of your trip
all sounds pretty 'kool' haha to use your word. Why are you saying bye to iona, where is she going? I cried like a baaaaby at the end of marley and me. Animals just get me going what can i say. btw spoke to your mum today, i will be emailing you missy, you must eat more iron!!! i am most alarmed! xxx

Ha The fitness is getting ruined by the rubbish I eat!! And I don't think I'll ever develop a love for swimming. If anything, swimming in the mingin vlei has made me despise it :p (in a loving way, of course!!) xxxxxxx
